We just came back from one night on our tour of Tuscany and this was one of our favorite hotels. Yes, the view looks just like the picture..and yes, you will want to have breakfast there and a glass of spirits there and listen to the bells toll. The staff is wonderful. They helped us park our car after our...

As others have noted, the view from the breakfast balcony is worth the price in and of itself. The rooms are a bit small, but the location is hard to beat. The staff was extremely helpful, even making us a to-go bag for breakfast when we had to catch an early train.

Although a little difficult to find because of the lack of signage, this B&B exceeded our expectations. The location was perfect for walking to any of the main sites. The service was excellent, the room was beautifully appointed and the view from the breakfast terrace was breathtaking. We would certainly return to Campo Regio Relais on any return visit to Sienna.

A small but very hospitable and friendly place to stay in Siena. A short 10 minute walk from the bus stop. The rooms are compact and well furnished with a magnificent terrace from where you will eat your buffet breakfast. The staff are excellent, both the young Italian gentleman and the Italian-American fellow. The service in Italy can be inconsistent...

While I maintain that the room rates are slightly inflated for the area, I think this little gem is worth the stay. We stayed in Suite #2 and the views out of our window were spectacular! The breakfast buffet was among the best we've had in that region. Wonderful coffee and fruit selection; make sure you sit outside on the...

Campo Regio Relais is a gem of a hotel, right in the centre of Siena. the rooms are small but very sweet and the staff seemingly can't do enough to help you out. The terrace has unbeatable views across the city up to the Duomo. I would definitely recommend this to friends and try to stay again if I ever...

The rooms can best be described as petite, not small. They are beautifully appointed with linen sheets on the beds. You feel very privileged to be in this historic building and most certainly you feel like a guest in a friend's magnificent house. Breakfast was outstanding with a breathtaking view. Hotel staff were exceptionally helpful and genuinely warm and concerned....

We had a delightful stay at Campo Regio Relais. We stayed in Room 5 which has the most breathtaking view of Siena and the Cathedral - I wouldn't be surprised if it's the best in the city. Denis was a most congenial host - helpful, interested and cultured. Siena is beautiful. Book without hesitation.

We have just come back from Italy and Campo Regio Relais made our stay in Siena trully memorable. We stayed in room 5, which had its own terrace where we had a breathtaking view of the Duomo perched on top of the hill. I could not get enough photos of this view. The room was extremely clean and beautifully decorated...

Our stay here was simply wonderful! We had a lot of trouble finding the hotel but called and they directed us perfectly - even stayed on the phone the whole time until we were at the door! We had two rooms - #6 and #2. Number 2 was smaller but extremely clean and comfortable and perfect for our two teenage...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Campo Regio Relais is a historic hotel in a building called Bastone del Pappagallo (16th Century), located in one of the ancient buildings within the historical centre of Siena. It can be found on Via della Sapienza, one of the main streets of medieval Siena, hosting both the University of Siena and the Academy of the Intronati. Its distinction is that it opens up to one of the most breathtaking views of the city in which the windows and the terraces reflect the ambient surroundings. The central position of the Relais allows guests to easily reach the most important monuments of the city; the main square, Piazza del Campo, the Duomo, and the museums that house the masterpieces of Siennese art. Campo Regio Relais is also perfect as a base from which you can discover the medieval towns and villages that surround Siena. ... more   less
