DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES I booked this hotel through hotels.com and attempted to check in within 15 minutes of booking (just a few minutes before 10 PM). The front desk man told me that it was “impossible” that I had made a reservation and that there were no rooms. He told me that he could not refund me since I had booked through hotels.com but would make a note on my account. He offered a me a room in the hotel next door. IT was over 90 degrees and the hotel next door (a considerable downgrade) did not have air conditioning, and I explained to him that I booked the first hotel specifically because it had air conditioning. He told me that he would make a note on my account to refund me. THEY HAD NO ROOM FOR ME AND DID NOT REFUND ME. I sent hotels.com a time-stamped photo in front of the hotel (that I could not check into) at 10:15 PM and requested a refund. I just heard from hotels.com that they were unable to contact the property. My e-mail states that the hotel has the ability to cancel the reservation in their system, yet they did not do that. They marked me as a no show despite the fact that I showed up and they had no room for me in the hotel I booked.. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL! THEY MAY NOT HAVE A ROOM FOR YOU, AND THEY WILL NOT REFUND YOU.

I arrived and went to check in to find no one at the desk. There was a message left on the desk saying to ring a number or go to this other hotel next door. I did that and was instructed that my room was opposite the hotel. The door seemed difficult to open but the lady showed me how to do it. She told me where my room was and I went up the stairs. The check-in seemed very rushed. I opened the door and found the bed unmade and the room slightly messy. I started to unpack and the cleaner came in. Neither of us spoke each other’s languages but she understood that I had just arrived. She rang someone who told me I had to leave the room so they could clean it. This meant I had to go out in the rain when I wanted to relax a bit in my room. The photos I have uploaded are from the time I checked into the hotel which was quite a bit of time after I was told I could check in at. Other than this, the location of the hotel is in the centre. On my second night, I found it difficult to sleep because there were people outside the hotel talking loudly and loud music playing like a party. Other than this, the room could have been warmer but extra blankets are provided and maybe a kettle could be provided as there is no heater. Bed was comfortable and toilet was clean.

Stayed there for one night in May 2019. The room was very basic and the bathroom quite shabby. If a stay without breakfast is an option, I would recommend you to choose it, because the breakfast was rather unsavory. It was served in a next door building. The omelet was clearly made a day or evening before, and the pasties were almost frozen inside. If you are planning to stay several nights, I would recommend you to choose an other hotel. I also think that Siena city itself is done during one day. We arrived on the afternoon, so we stayed over night, but if you arrive early, you will have seen the most during the day and can move on to overnight somewhere else.

We stayed here just one night around the Palio. Location is the best you can have in Siena. Yes, the rooms are quite old, but this is a 2 stars hotel and for that price and the cleanliness, I think it really deserves a 4/5. Both guys at the receptions gave us amazing tips so I would say service was impeccable. I would totally recommend this if you don’t look for a luxurious stay.

The facility is very old. We had problems with AC in the room, reported about it at 11 pm, at the day when we checked in. AC did not get fixed until 4 pm next day, after I had huge fight with the owner of the hotel, who suggested to open the window when it was 92 degrees Farenheit outside, and we wanted to take a rest in our room, hiding from a heat. I was searching for hotels with AC (it was August), booked it, but it did not work LOOONG time. Even after it was fixed, it did not cool down the room, it was still hot, but better than not-working at all. If you do not care about AC, then the hotel is good with its great location. Wifi was very slow. The water in the bathroom sink would not drain properly. After we checked out and I paid for the stay in full, the owner cancelled my trip on booking.com, probably trying to prevent me to file the claim, or trying not to pay their fees, not sure why, but I found it funny, because they still charged my credit card in full, and I have all emails between me and the owner saved, proving our stay there... After me leaving a review on booking.com, the owner Leopoldo emailed me and said that I put fake news and he fixed the AC in "no time". I pointed him that between 11 pm one day and 4 pm next day I would not call it "in no time", especially when it is so hot outside... So, not good experience. I suggested him to fix the issues, and treat their guests with respect, then they have good business, because the location is great

Dear Madam, Even if I'm deeply sorry for the experience we brought I'd like to point out when we gave the room AC was working properly as it is doing now, once you called and overnight I could not fix the minor issue someone of your party tampered the windows sensors causing the stop, the day after I came and fixed the problem. I assume you have been without AC few hours compared a two night stay. We would like to thank you for your stay. All other sentences about cancelling, not wanting to pay the fees and so on is pure immagination. Regards Leopoldo
