We were very well greeted by the owner (Luciana) who has spared no effort to show us tips on restaurants and the typical dishes of Siena. The room we stayed was spotless and fine decorated. The B&B was very clean and close to the downtown, restaurants and bus stop. We highly recommend it.

We stayed here for 6 nights and felt very lucky and spoiled. Our host Luciana was exceptionally friendly and helpful, providing everything we needed. There are lots of small touches in the spacious apartment which make it feel like home. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was more than we could eat with lots of variety from day to...

Stayed for three nights and well pleased with the accommodation. Ideally located for the centre and only a short walk from the rail station. Owner very helpful. Breakfast a bit sparse. Thoroughly recommend it

The b&b had a great view and the room was nice and causy. The owner was not that much of a fluent english speaker buf we could communicate. Anyway good intention matter and she had them! For its location and price its definitely a value for money deal!

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely B&B despite only staying for 1 night. The room was spacious and had a very homely feel to it. The bed was really comfortable and I liked that a duvet was offered. Usually hotels just offer a sheet and then an extra blanket but I liked that we got a duvet! The room...

We stayed two nights at the La Coperta Ricamata - the room was very clean and quiet. Our room faced the back and we slept very well - with barely a hint of traffic noise. The location is good, a bit of walk from the center of the old city - but it worked very well for us. Our hostess...

Villa Baldasseroni was the perfect base for us as we explored lovely Siena by foot for 3 days. Luciana was the perfect host and we loved are large, comfortable, airy room with its little balcony. Each morning Luciana served us a lovely continental breakfast and the hotel was only a short walk from all the lovely sites in Siena

We booked 3 rooms for 1 week, we stayed as a group of 6 people and found our week extremely comfortable in rooms that was large, full of natural light and tastefully decorated and above all practically laid out! We booked the room "coperta ricamata" as a twin, "la serenata" as a double and "le stelle" (the apartment). I was...

We had a wonderful stay here. The room is clean, spacious and very comfortable; a very good breakfast was also served. The owner Luciana pays attention to a lot of details, any visitor can tell that she well thought through her design for the room in many neat ways. It's walking distance to Duomo/town center and to the bus station...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
“LA COPERTA RICAMATA” is situated inside the old city walls, in the territory of the contrada of Lupa, just steps away from Piazza del Campo, the heart of the city where traditionally on 2nd July and on 16th August the Palio, the annual historic horse-race, is held. The B&B is conveniently situated within walking distance of the city’s historic centre. It’s located near a bus stop, the railway station and a highway exit, so it’s an excellent accommodation for all travellers. It is possible to park in the nearby streets or to park at nearby garages. The B&B, located in a villa just inside the old city walls, is completely surrounded by a large garden that gives the guests peace, quiet and comfort, but also the view of an unusual landscape beneath the ancient and famous rocca of Monte dei Paschi. The villa, built at the beginning of the 20th century and renovated few years ago, is built on two floors. The B&B single and double guest rooms are situated on the first floor. All the rooms are large and with bathrooms en suite with hair-dryer, air conditioning, cabled TV and free wi-fi. The rooms are cleaned daily. Bed and Bath-linen are changed weekly. The breakfast buffet is served from 8 a.m until 10 a.m; guests may breakfast in their rooms. ... more   less

“The apartment "le stelle" is upstairs, spacious and private however is a loft conversion so less natural light than the other rooms. The other 4 rooms are downstairs (first floor) "la serenata" is lovely because it is around the corner away from the main corridor and has 2 beautiful big windows and a balcony that looks over the garden.”

“Do ask for a balcony.”
HinaI52, 3 Aug 2012 | Read review
“Ask for a quiet room if this is important to you. I paid the extra for a full double room rather than the single occupancy rate which is cheaper but you get a smaller room and in some cases I believe a smaller (french style) bed which is shorter I think. So if you are tall this may be useful for you to know.”
