We couldn't have been happier with our stay at Casanova di Pescille. The last few reviews are spot on. It's a warm, family run, place in a perfect location. A car is a requirement though. Spend the day touring or relaxing by the pool and then get ready for a great, fun, meal at the inn. By the way, the... More

A wonderful hidden old farmhouse turned into a agriturismo run only by the family, warm and friendly with a sense for details and meeting their customers. We totally enjoyed are stay and had a great birthday party (28 in all, ages 8 to 79), a typical meal decided by the son - the cook. Listening to phesants cry, distrubed by... More

We are now back in England and the sun has gone!!! This was our second visit to the hotel. We booked every room and the appartment as we were celebrating my husbands big birthday. It was great to see the renovations that have taken place since we were last there. It is a fabulous setting; beautiful rooms; the swimming pool... More

My wife and I stayed at the Casanova di Pescille with friends for a week in Sept 08. This converted farmhouse is a piece of Tuscan jewellery set in the hillside just south of San Gimignano . Beautifully converted and well run by Roberto and his wife it formed the ideal base for our tour of the local area. The... More

The place is absolutely amazing. it is a lovely farmhouse with great view over san gimignano. the room is big, and decorating with a warm and homey atmosphere. The breakfast is very delicious with homemade cakes, honey, marmalade and other good things. Roberto the owner was so nice to us and was happy to assist with directions, restaurants and just... Cannot improve on the detail provided by the previous reviewer Cimbalon on this accommodation albeit to say that we did enjoy the breakfast offerings. Ground Floor Room 6 was of spacious enough for 2 adults and a child with plenty of cupboard space and a good sized en suite bathroom. Whether returning from the days outings or just having a... Casanova di Pecille does pretty much what it says on the tin. It's a farmhouse rather idiosyncratically converted into a series of en suite rooms. There are no public areas to speak of other than the breakfast room. I don't recognise the description given of the landlord by TripReviewer5. He was at all times courteous and helpful and more than... More

I see many reviews that reflect our experience. Upon the recommendation of my husband's brother-in-law, we drove from Milano to Tuscana just to see San Gimignano --he also suggested Casanova di Piscille. When we got there we were exhausted because of all the stops and detours we took along the way --the scenery beconned us to stop again and again.... More

Property is gorgeous! No doubt about that. Location is good (if want to be within 15 min drive of San Gimignano). Rooms were decorated in the old farmhouse charm, very nice. Breakfast was fine. A/C in room was barely on, and owner would not increase the cooling. Owner consistently not helpful when asked questions about the area (vineyards, restaurants, etc)...not... More

“When we go again we will ask for one of the downstairs rooms with a terrace.”
of 5 bubbles TWRRWRBCB, 21 Aug 2015 | Read review
“I don't think you can go wrong. We stayed in one of about 5 rooms above the dining room and kitchen so went down the stairs to the terrace outside both. Despite walking up stairs next to the kitchen, there was no noise or odor coming through. Our friends had a room off a terrace both of which were on the other side of the dining room. There is another room like theirs with a terrace and a separate building that appeared to have two stories for couples, families, or several friends.”

“Of the 8 rooms in the main building, two on the ground level have their own terrace with a table, chairs, and umbrella. If this appeals to you, it is worth asking for one of them.”
