This was a beautiful bed and breakfast in Tuscany. We were looking for a break from the fast paced sight seeing cities...and this was perfect. We had dinner here one night and it was one of our favorite meals of our entire two week trip to Italy.

Il Casale del Cotone is a just short drive from San Gimignano. The property itself is kept spotlessly clean and is very well maintained. We found our room spacious, comfortable and not too hot at night. The room had a quiet air conditioning system which could be switched on and off as required and was perfectly adequate for the conditions.... More

My wife and I spent three spectacular days at this fabulous 17th century resort with our eldest daughter. It was located on a main road, not at all difficult to find, but we were traveling with a GPS. There was ample free parking available on site. We were kindly greeted by Alessandro Martelli, a charming and gracious host, who was... More

We stayed here for two nights after a hectic visit to Rome and it was just what we needed to revive flagging bodies. It is a lovely peaceful place beautifully kept and restored and we will certainly be back.

My wife and I returned to Casale del Cotone, having been there first nine years ago and it reminded us that it is everything that we go to Tuscany to find. In the meantime Alessandro Martelli has taken over the hotel and runs it with style and genuine Italian courtesy and friendliness. The rooms are immaculately clean and pleasant, the... More

My wife and I originally discovered Casale del Cotone in Sep 1997 just shortly after it had opened in 1995 or 96. Our 1st visit was for nine days and everything was exceptional. The local dining and touring suggestions from Alessandro were just what we had hoped for and well within our budget. Since 1997 we have been fortunate enough... More

It is quite something this cosy hotel in San GIniniano, so well taken care of by Alessandro, grand-son of a winery owner family. You will be granted will the most beautyfull landscape of Tuscany, at any time, just a 4 minutes drive from San Giminiano.

We spent 5 days in this lovely place. And i can´t understand some of those people who wrote its a soulless place and so on. It´s the opposite. Alessandro is a very friendly and helpful host, the service is friendly, the bedrooms are clean and comfortable. The garden is wonderful. You have a great sight, there is a clean and... More

Casale del Cotone is a very nice B&B. The location, just a few kilometers from San Gimignano is perfect. The B&B is a wonderful house, well restored and kept by Alessandro, the host. Everything is very clean. The rooms are comfortable, so are the bathrooms. Most agreeable is sitting near the pool and enjoying the wonderful views over the beatiful... More
