#8 of 76 B&Bs / Inns in San Gimignano
Villa Baciolo is a Medieval Country House plunged in the quiet of the Tuscan countryside. This old Farmhouse has been transformed in a comfortable bed and breakfast but in the respect of the typical architectural characteristics of the region. Surrounded by vineyards, olive trees and secular oaks, it can offer a spectacular view on San Gimignano: an ideal place to spend a holiday in direct contact with nature. The main body of the House is crossed by a particular hall with vault ceiling and which offer a splendid view on the Town of Towers. In this panoramic terrace we serve breakfast and dinner if requested. In the solarium is located the swimming pool. Villa Baciolo has 10 double rooms and 2 small apartments.

Stayed in the double room, ending up by extending my stay from 3 to 5 days. Loved the tranquility and amazing garden, the view on San Gimignano, the broad choice at breakfast and the super friendly, supportive staff (helped me organise my activities, eg a local tennis coach). Totally enjoyed it, hope to be back!

We had had a very long drive from Ravenna and my husband remembered this place from a previous trip so we booked in for two nights at 95 euros per night. Our room on the first floor was very beautiful. Tiny but with the most jaw dropping view over the gardens and countryside to San Gimignano & beautifully furnished. Breakfast was included and consisted of a small selection of meat, cheese, cake & fruit - all the usual plus some wonderful homemade jam & fruit juice. We sat outside on the pretty terrace and one of the lovely staff served coffee while we gazed at the view on perfect Tuscan mornings. Heaven. We were delighted to use the small pool to cool off when we arrived, and then spent the whole afternoon there the following day having a picnic lunch in the sun. The whole place is delightful and quirky. Just be careful if you get the shower room floor tiles wet. My husband had a horrible slip and cut his arm quite badly on the step down into the bedroom. Just be aware. This is a lovely, lovely place and highly recommended.

Stayed for 1 week with my wife and two friends, first time in Tuscany. We always stay in this kind of place, agri turismo/boutique hotel style/ rustic/scenic/adults only/a superb review record. Villa Baciolo had the most vital addition that is sometimes missing, the most delightful hosts that you could ask for! Mother and daughter, Nadia and Lia (although they look like sisters!) run this beautiful place with a grace and style that makes for the perfect stay. During our week they were helped by Eleanor and Ramona. They are a brilliant team, always there when you need them but never in the way. It was like staying with lovely friends. The ambience is exactly what we look for, the breakfasts are ideal, the whole place is spotless, the decor charming, the views across to San Gimignano simply breathtaking and this whole, wonderful holiday venue is beautifully positioned to enjoy all of the Siennese hill towns, Florence and Siena and further afield if you want. All of us can't recommend it highly enough. We rarely return to the same places, but we would probably make an exception here! We are already telling all of our family and friends to sometime try the Villa Baciolo experience. Thank you so much Nadia, Lia and your team (including Grandma!)

The ladies who run this are lovely and work very hard to keep it so lovely. We were in room 9 which has its own patio with the most stunning view towards San Gimignano, you could not ask for a better view The room was good and we got a small fridge we had asked for to keep medicine cool. The only downside was the bathroom it was tiny, only about 3 feet wide! Breakfast basic but good, lovely to eat outside with the great view, swimming pool lovely too. Recommended

We have enjoyed the comforts of staying at Villa Baciolo quite a few times. But last week it was the third time we stayed together with our mothers, both elderly ladies now unfortunately both with a walking handicap. As always, we all felt very warmly welcomed and were given all the attention any guest could hope for. Apart from tastefully decorated rooms, a wonderful garden and a dreamlike setting this is what makes Villa Baciolo such a special place. While we certainly enjoyed touring the wonderful area, the highlights of our trip have again been on Villa Baciolo's grounds: the view of San Gimignano from the terrace, the roses and the birdsongs in the garden and the lovingly prepared breakfasts with even more views. Thank you so much !
