#24 of 76 B&Bs / Inns in San Gimignano
At Podere Montese you will feel like you are at home! Podere Montese is a typical Tuscan stone house converted into a lovely, family-run B&B where guests feel at home. At the Podere, the day starts with a rich breakfast served on the terrace overlooking the valley opposite San Gimignano, situated only 2 km away. Do not miss the cappucino prepared by Davide: many of our guests consider it a real legend! The place is run personally by the owners, Davide and Annalisa; on request, they will provide you with the products of the farming estate.

Really nice place to stay for a few nights nearby San Gimignano. After arrival we went for diner to the city center by car. The parking spots are limited, but in the evening not a problem. The next day we went walking all the way. It took us about 40 minutes, although the roads are steep. Some parts of the road are not lightened, so take that into consideration when going back after sunset. The breakfast is good and the rooms clean. Nice to sit outside with beautiful view!

All in all, we enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it The positives: Magnificent view Lovely terrace and outside area Nice pool Short drive to San Gimignano Terrace with nice view outside room Negatives: Room was uncomfortably hot, but to be fair the weather was hot. Breakfast wasn’t good (despite brilliant view / terrace). Young families, therefore crying babies (personal gripe but obviously no fault of hotel) Poor WiFi (only useable close to reception)

The property is located amoung the vineyards, very close to San Giminano, driving by car took us about 7-10 minutes. The rooms are designed to be simple and old-fashioned (rustic). The breakfast was tasty, during breakfast we admired sunny day and oustanding view because we ate outside.I would choose the property once more for my stay.

Perfect little hotel in a beautiful surrounding. We could see San Gimignano from our room and terrace. The room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was good (except from the coffee - everything but ‘robusto’) and the owners were friendly. He spoke several languages. The pool was nice too. It is possible to walk to SG but this will take 30-45 min. We paid 660 euro for 6 nights high season, and this was well worth the money!

This is a pension built of rock, it is as beautiful as in a tale :). The view is fantastic, you can see the immaculate grapery and in the distance the towers of San Gimignano. We had a tiny little room, not much space but it was clean and cozy. The hosts are very kind and helpful, the breakfast is just as it is usual in Italy, enough to start the day. It is only for those who arrive by car!
