Good location on a way to Rome, sufficient breakfast. Appreciate the staff who made it because of small number of inhabitants. Nice garden and organization of property (double houses) which probably is really nice in summer. Well equipped kitchen. Calm, away from road, nice planning of property. Be prepared for bumpy, narrow dirty road (no asphalt) in final approach. No heating before 1.NOV, so use additional blankets - must. Therefore rooms were chilly and a little humid . For one night OK, but we could not bring life in our TV (prehistoric). Slow internet, be ready to do walking to find the spot. Based on that, plus end of tourist season, I would say a little bit overpriced. We spend a week in Italy and got much better for the same money.
We stayed here only two nights in the very off season (end of october...), but could see its definite potential. We eould love to return someday in a little less off season, like september. Our host was fantastic and warm. Breakfast was good. Surroundings are incredible. Piombino is not that nice, but Populonia makes up for it.
A real agriturismo with a large working farm, nice pool also. The bungalows have nice verandas, we were housed in the bigger apartments that were part of the farm staff housing complex. No balcony, but had an authetic feel to it. Furnishings and kitchen outdated, but OK. No dishwasher. Futon sofabed disastrous. Beds alright. Breakfst very goof especially for Italy. Very quiet in September even though it was still alomts fully booked. 90+% Italian guest, owner only speaks Italian - which counts as a plus for me, I don't want to be surrounded by other Germans while on vacation abroad. Wonderful beaches in the vicinity, for dogs also.
