I booked this hotel based on the pictures posted on booking.com however was disappointed with my experience. The interiors are very old and a little dusty in lesser used areas. Although the overall rooms felt clean enough given covid. The shower door in my room was broken and missing a panel so showering was restricted to the corner of an already small area to avoid flooding the floor. The air conditioning unit was quite old but cooled the room down on a hot day eventually. The hotel is situated close to the train station however the area can look a bit dodgy at night. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Room was spacious and once you put shutters up there was a lot of light. However there was no shower door or curtain so whenever you bathe water goes everywhere. Apart from that everything was fine. Location is very convenient. 1 minute away from train station and 15 minutes away from Pisa Tower.
We arrived late in the evening from Budapest and only staying in Pisa for one night, we wanted something cheap and comfortable. This certainly was that, we arrived by taxi from the airport (€12 and a 5 min drive,) though the train station is only 2 mins walk. The area the hotel was in felt safe, the check in was easy and the room was a good size and very clean. A nice bonus was the good size modern bathroom. The guest agent in the evening recommended a great restaurant to us for dinner and the guest agent in the morning was very helpful with information and directions. We didn’t have breakfast there, but there are plenty of good bars and pasticerrias within walking distance. Good value for money this hotel.
We stayed two times in october in this hotel. The hotel is situated in a zone with many homeless, alcoolics, drugs dealers etc. The zone is not clean, but is very close to the train station. The hotel is old furnished, and you must first open the windows for 2-3 hours, because the bad smell. But the beds are clean, and the bathroom is cleaned daily and the towels are changed. There is a kettle and a fridge in the room. The room is small, and the view from the window is not atractive. But the staff is very ok ( in the first evening , the receptionist came to repair the sink who was not working). The breakfast is good -9 euro per person. Must know there is a tourist tax:1.50 euro /night/person. You can eat a good gelato at BOTEGA DEL GELATO-but take care, you are in Italy and they try sometimes to pick you: the real price is 2 € for 2 cups and not 2.50 € when they observe you are foreign tourist. So, finally we can say it was not bad.…
Just stayed at this hotel a few days ago. The hotel is a bit vintage and needs some retouching. However, my room was large and pretty clean. Sky tv is available and that's a plus.Great breakfast! Unfortunately, it's a few feet from the Central Station of Pisa and located in an undesirable position next to a gambling spot where there are undesirable characters, drug dealers, people sleeping on the street and addicts. Police are always patroling the area. If you can overlook that, it's fine. Only 100 meters ahead begins the nice area and shopping. Fabulous bar spot in front of the Keith Haring wall.
