Located really close to the leaning Tower of Pisa, the age-old Relais dell’Orologio is the ideal place to visit the City, its monuments, the University, its museums, its squares, its markets, its shops, its artisan workshops by foot and to move about its province towards Lucca and Versilia. For a romantic getaway, for a honeymoon, to experience art, culture and the humanity of the place, in other words to appreciate Tuscany.
Run down hotel with cramped rooms. Extremely bad reception service. It is very disturbing that it is rated 5 stars. One is enough and overstates the place
Location is good but does not make up for the short fall

It’s a little tired, but the location is excellent, the staff is helpful and friendly, and the rooms, though old, are adequate. It has its charms. For overnight it was fine. It is a very old building, which accounts for the charm/tiredness appearance.
The hotel was not easy to get to in the car, we paid to park in the hotels private car park which was very disappointing with a lot of foul smelling poo everywhere, dark and mess everywhere, no lighting.

Sketchy street, Italian classical historical building with lovely painted walls and coffered ceilings...but too tired and dank to be a 3 star hotel...definitely not a 5 star by any definition.
