You can't get a better location - Pisa is really quite small but it's so close to the tower but not too close that you hear all the tourists.
The room itself was basic but clean and enough for what we needed. There was only one working plug which wasn't great when we had multiple devices to charge daily as well as a Mosquito repellent plug in which was provided by the hotel. The bathroom was clean but could do with a refurbishment and a bigger shower ideally (my husband kept knocking the control when moving).
The staff were amazing though, really lovely and the restaurant on site was beautiful. The food was great and we stopped every night for a drink. Seemed it was popular with locals too.
Check in is at 2pm (not advertised on Booking.com) and reception is open 8:30am-11pm and not 24 hours. Only down side to this is that we booked a taxi through reception when we checked out but it didn't arrive and no one there to ring to check on it.
Only a 10 minute/ 10 euro taxi from the airport.
The room and the premises are certainly dated and have a style that harks back to the elegant 80s, however, despite the slightly retro taste, everything was clean and tidy. The morning cleaning of the room was impeccable. The only negative note regarding cleanliness is the pink sofa in the hotel lobby which is visually ruined and not very inviting to sit on also due to some stains that characterize it. The restaurant is excellent: if you have the chance, stop for lunch there (focus on the cuisine, note of merit for the fish dishes, pizza for non-Italian tourists).
Recommended and safe return at least for the restaurant.
"Plenty of restaurant choices in the area, same for bakeries that provide fresh baked goods and coffee for an inexpensive breakfast. "Read full review
