Difficult to get the balance right in this review. On the plus side, location is excellent, especially for access to train station. Staff helpful and a nice evening buffet to go with evening drinks. Negatives. Firstly because we booked via third party no breakfast included, charged for hotel shuttle and room smaller than others on same floor. Also the only...

Hotel is fine. Rooms has mini bar which was great for keeping my wine cool. Aircon did not work despite repeated requests to repair it. Not too much of a problem though as it was November. Just had to turn off the radiators. kettle etc in room. very good breakfast; continental plus scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage plus the usual cakes...

Only stayed one night, but would come here again for a longer visit. This hotel was very nice. Comfortable room. Helpful staff. The location was fantastic...very close to everything you would want to see. An easy 15-18 min walk to tower.

I was pleased with my single room on the third floor of this hotel. It was reasonably large, well equipped but a little tired in appearance. The fridge with free water and kettle were welcome as was the free wifi with easy logon. Bathroom small but the shower was good. Good level of heating in the morning and evening. Gourmet...

We had an excellent 4 days in Pisa. The hotel bologna couldnt be faulted ; the room and the hotel was spotless. The staff were first class. OK Breakfast was italian style but this is italy! There was a large selection of food. The Bologna is 15 mins from the railway station (the hub of the town) and 200 yards...

Lovely hotel, spacious room, helpful staff, really good breakfast. Excellent location - within 250 yards of a piazza with very good restaurants and bars, within 250 yards of bus stop to the Leaning Tower (which is a 125 minute walk), within 50 yards of bus stop to the Station and Airport and less than 10 minute walk to the Station....

Stayed for a short Mon - Fri break in Pisa. Lovely room 208 although a little noisy with the window open. Breakfast was excellent with homemade bread and cakes. Cakes were also available free by reception in the afternoon. Near to restaurants, the river and the train station. Lots of bars and coffee shops nearby. Reception sells bus tickets, 1.2...

We thought that the hotel was in a good location giving easy walking to where ever we wanted to go to. Typical of older cities at first sight you can wonder why a hotel is in a "side street" but you get over that quickly. On arrival our allocated room was not ready, however the next door room was so...

Well located, simple and clean. Friendly staff. Good breakfast also and quite inexpensive. Not so easy to get to if driving without sat nav, however once there everything is in easy walking distance. Limited off road parking and on road parking something of a problem in the area. Best arrive early if driving.

I didn't really take to The Bologna Hotel. They didn't have the room ready for check-in, didn't apologise for the fact, and consistently reminded us that we hadn't paid for breakfast as part of our room rate which leaflets dotted around the place and in the room reminded us, would have been cheaper had we gone directly to them rather...
