We booked this delightful stay at the last minute and after an easy walk from the train station, we were lucky enough to be upgraded to a junior suite. It had a balcony overlooking the rooftops of Lucca and a sitting room that would've made it worth paying full-price for! The furnishings and fittings in the room are gorgeous the...

Lucca is a beautiful city. Lots to see and eat. This is a small hotel with personnel service. They will park your car, a good idea on these very small streets. Quiet, clean and comfy. Beautiful building, good breakfast. Also fresh apples and oranges in fruit bowls waiting for us to take as a snack.

Within Lucca's walls, this boutique hotel is small enough that the owner and his family can give their guests plenty of care and assistance. Their patience and attentiveness is a reminder that hotels need not be soulless stopovers--and that the best of them never will be.

We stayed at the Hotel Palazzo Alexander on our recent trip through Italy. We decided at the last minute to go to Lucca and we were so happy we did! The hotel is centrally located but just far enough away to be out of the hustle and bustle. The staff took such good care of us, they were amazing!! I...

A lovely well appointed hotel in the heart of Lucca's old town. The rooms are exquisitely furnished with all the amenities expected. The included breakfast is excellent in the gorgeously furnished breakfast room. The owner and his son are very friendly offering great service. I thoroughly recommend staying here if visiting Lucca.

We stayed here for 5 nights on the second leg of a 10 day visit to Tuscany in August. The hotel has high standards, the rooms are well appointed and comfortable. The staff and mein host were very helpful and happy to assist you in every way. The breakfast was very nice. We had a Junior Suite which was well...

We stayed here for 3nights. Mario was really helpful. Loved the secret parking space ( but phone before you try to find it the first time!!) Breakfast was really nice, huge gluten free choice as we had asked for that option when booking. We were in Madame Butterfly room. It is gorgeous, felt really special and relaxed. The best bit...

What a lovely place, the hotel, the people and the city! Friendly staff in a great hotel within the old city walls make a short stay in this magical area even better. There is no restaurant (although a good breakfast is available in the lounge), but there are excellent traditional Italian restaurants nearby.

We had a beautiful family suite and thoroughly enjoyed the hotel (the service was excellent) and the location in the wonderful walled city of Lucca! The breakfast was very good as well! Parking is a consideration so it's best to contact the hotel in advance to figure out the best place to park your car.

A great little hotel in the heart of the old town. The personnel were very helpful and charming. We were traveling with 2 young kids, so we had an adjoining room with a connecting door, which worked out great. The rooms are a little on the small side, but hey, it's an old building and you should be spending your...
