We spent 2 days in Lucca and really enjoyed our stay here. It's very clean and well-located in the center of the town, only 10 minutes from the bus/train station and handy for everything. Franca was a lovely host- very welcoming and accommodating. Breakfast was good with pastries, cheese, ham, cereal, fruit and good Italian coffee.

Building and room have great interior decoration. You feel like you are in a historic century. Good location. Adequate room size but small bathroom. Helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast can be enriched.

Fabulous location with large rooms. Central but quiet. The manager was fantastic and easily could accommodate awkward arrival and departure hours. I found the bed uncomfortable but the mattress comfort level (no padded layer) seems to be the case with Italian rooms in this price range.

We stayed here for 3 nights and loved it. Franca is a wonderful hostess and we felt very welcome. The property was difficult to find and we walked past it twice before noticing the sign. When you turn right off the Main Street (if coming from the station) it is just on your right as you turn in. Our room...

Just stayed for 4 nights - tricky to find tucked away down an alley but worth it once we got there. Interesting murals all over the walls inside & outside the rooms. The room was spotless & cleaned every day regardless of what time we left. Good breakfast every morning, always appreciated the espresso. Hostess Franca was great. Great location, right in...

Had a fantastic 2 nights at this lovely, cozy B&B. We picked this B&B for the location and reviews and were very pleased that our research paid off. Simona was a terrific hostess. Rooms were bright, clean and nicely decorated. The bed was comfortable, breakfast was wonderful. Simona left water and pastries for snacks. She was very helpful with suggestions...

We were two friends who were lucky to get a room for one night in this cozy B&B in the center of beautiful Lucca. The location could not have been better, very close to all points of interest and restaurants, cafes. We enjoyed cycling around the old town wall and dining in an amazing restaurant. The hotel and its rooms...

We stayed here the third week of August for just three nights. We enjoyed the age of the building combined with all comforts. Cleanliness was great, as was the quality of the breakfasts. We just had to get the name of the pasticcheria that made the great Lucca tart that was on offer at breakfast together with cheeses, ham, salami,...

Had a fantastic week at this lovely quaint B&B. The room was lovely, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was big enough with a good shower. The room was cleaned every day and left lovely for when we came back in. Simone was so helpful when we were there and even before we got there answering our emails with enthusiasm...

This is a tiny hotel hidden on an alleyway in the heart of the walled city of Lucca. It is not easy to locate and the walk from the train station with suitcases in hot temperatures can be exhausting. When you finally arrive, you then have to hike up several sets of narrow stone stairways to reach the check-in area....

“You need a degree of mobility as the 6 rooms are on the first and second floors up a twisting staircase.”

“tip to travelers to this hotel: check out was early (10 or 11). Once you check out, you cannot use any bathrooms. They say they have a sign stating this. Probably true but we did not see it and were not aware. We left bags in breakfast room when we checked out and when we picked them up later, wanted to use bathroom but were advised we could not. Find a restroom before you go to the train station. The train station bathroom was the worst we used in Italy. It has only a hole in the ground. Would have been nice after staying in the B&B to be allowed to use a restroom before we got on the train.”

“Every room is quite silent and they all have free Wi-fi. Maybe staying upstairs (2nd floor) can result more isolated from the breakfast area”

“Room 3 on 2nd floor is a corner room and has 2 windows - the rooms on 1st floor open onto the breakfast area and could be a bit noisy in mornings. Be aware - no lift, you have to carry bags up the stairs.”
