I cannot recommend this place more. It is a fantastic location to strike into Luca, just out of the bustle but easily walkable. The square it resides in is beautiful, the room is excellently appointed and the host leaves nothing to be desired. Thank you for a wonderful time.

On arrival we were met by our hosts, who throughout the stay especially Juliana. Could not have been anymore helpful or pleasant than they were. Location, good just a short walk from most places you would want to visit The place itself has been restored to a high standard, and is quite quirky. It is kept spotlessly clean. Breakfast is served by the ever helpful Juliana and is a great start to the day Would highly recommend this B,B. You won’t be dissatisfied We were six guests in three rooms, and were all of same opinion

I stayed in Room 3. The space had two bedrooms with a full and a queen. Very very spacious for four people. I was a solo backpacker so the extra room was welcome. Check-In: It was a snap. Push the buzzer outside and you are let in. About about 30 feet and you push the access code given to you. From there someone will check you in or it is a self check-in with a packet and keys. Very Easy. Rooms: Two bedrooms with a bathroom. Beds were comfortable and clean. Bathroom was great. Shower, toilet and sink all ran properly. Shower was nice and hot. A/C: Did not use. Wifi: I do not believe the units have it. Towels and Soap: Provided. Towels clean. Area: You are in a great area near everything. Taverns and restaurants all with walking distance. Train station 10 minutes away. Would I stay here again: Yes and I would recommend highly recommend it. Great place for the money.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights and we loved this B&B! The room was spacious and clean with a comfy bed, en suite bathroom and separate table and chairs. The décor was charming and quirky. It could get a bit cold at night but there were spare blankets in the wardrobe and I imagine that the cooler temperature is welcome in the summer months! Breakfast is served in the room, pastries, toast and jam and some cooked options although we didn't select these. The pastries were fresher on one morning than the other but still enough to get you going. The B&B is located inside the city walls which is a perfect base for exploring. Reception is only manned in the mornings but this wasn't a problem for us arriving later in the afternoon as the self check in process was easy to follow and this seems to be a common theme in smaller B&Bs in Italy. I would recommend this B&B and would stay here again if I returned to Lucca.

A charming B & B with (restored) old-world decor and in a great location just a short walk from everywhere you might want to be; it's very clean and comfortable with a lovely spacious bathroom. A good breakfast (with choice) was served in our room. The owners are not on site but are available if needed. Lucca is delightful - we hired bikes and cycled around the incredible ramparts and some of the marked cycle routes on the tourist map. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from and good shopping of all kinds. A lovely place to stay!

On short notice ,a short get away from the island was a necessity. As much as I enjoy the Trip advisor site as I am more familiar with the booking .com site ,which is user friendly. and their Customer service is also outstanding. Francesca from Corte Dei Noboli was kind enough to follow up on my booking email to her, with instructions on how to locate the B&B.Their are buses that leave from around the train station into the walled city of Lucca. The location is in the Piazza San Pietro. A fairly quite location.Just a short walking distance from everywhere you need to visit. The room was wonderful and decorated in a certain style of luxury. An en-suit bathroom and a wonderful large bathtub in the room. An a/c in the room was large enough to walk around in with a table and four chairs for breakfast which is served in your room. One large cupboard with a mini bar and a safe was also provided Alessandro welcomed us in and showed us the room and shared his opinion on suggestions with a map of the surrounding area. Just so close enough,I discovered a wonderful butcher/store CARNI Val Serchio Lucca off Via Anfiteatro n91/95-where one can purchase good quality water and beer and slices of all sorts of proscuitto and other goodies.A 5 minute walk. For one of the best bakers in the city ..You MUST visit Forno A Vapore on VIa S .Lucia 18/20 Lucca open from 7am -1pm and 4.30pm -19.45pm I discovered many wonderful restaurants and osteria's Enjoy the wonderful stay in Lucca ! Many other different specialties and home made goodies are available Lucca is a wonderful city to walk around and enjoy the local food and culture. A wonderful place to visit.

I live in Lucca and reserved this B&B for a friend who was visiting me. These are her impressions. She was very pleased with the period decor, the size of the room and the fact that breakfast was served in her room. She was on the ground floor, but felt the room was very safe and quiet. The hosts, although not onsite 24 hours, were available when she needed them. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was good.

No one at check in. Place is a converted storage dark area with no operating windows. How this passed any kind of building inspection is beyond me. Heat not functional. Broken refrigerator burned out light bulbs. Dirty and musty. Breakfast was stale packaged foods. Coffee machine was broken. Clerk refused cancellation and forced to pay for night not used. Don't swayed by nice pictures on walls. This is a poorly managed dump. Don't go here.

We enjoyed our two nights stay at Nobili. Decor of the rooms is fab - how a romantic get away should look like. While our stay was good overall some small details should be sorted: the room was cleaned daily, however a deep clean is needed - under the bed there was a thick layer of dust, the romantic bathtub looks good from a distance on closer inspection it too was covered in dust, it seemed the red canopy over bathtub was last cleaned during wars with Pisa - it was very dirty. The bathroom was of good size - standard italian layout: basin, bidet, shower. The extractor fan grill was disgusting - inches of dust and lint. I'd stay there again just a little more attention to cleanliness is needed and it'll be a solid B&B.

My sister and I stayed in room 3 for five nights in July 2012. We requested a double room with separate beds and were given a 3-person suite (double bed plus a single) at no extra cost. The rooms were VERY spacious and charmingly decorated, if somewhat dark (only one window, which was frosted and didn't seem to open). The air conditioner (located directly above the double bed) was noisy for the person in the double bed and didn't do much for the person in the single bed part of the suite. It also had a limit on how cold it would go. We couldn't get either of the two tvs to work, and the hairdryer was a bit weak. On our last night, the water went through a brief period of coming out brown and gritty. We like to think that this had something to do with the construction that was going on down the road... Toiletries and towels were replaced regularly and the room was kept very clean. For breakfast (served in the room), we were asked to fill out our fruit juice and hot beverage choices on a form the night before. The breakfast consisted of packaged pastries and spreadable cheese, with the exception of the last morning, when we were also given a yogurt each. Some fresh fruit or cereal might have been a nice touch...(as well as a stronger yogurt presence!) Our main complaint would be the general absence of reception staff after the morning room cleaning. As other reviewers have said, if you arrive in the afternoon you will find your keys in an envelope on the desk. While in theory we have no objection to a more "hands off" approach, we can certainly see how it could lead to complications. Having seen reviews where people complained of having lost their rooms when they didn't arrive at the desired time, I sent emails to confirm my reservation following my online booking. It took the B&B staff at least 2 days to answer my email. And then - knowing that we would have to leave very early on the last day and that there wouldn't be anyone there at night the night before, we decided to pay up at breakfast time on the second-last day. Later that evening, we came back to find our toiletries packaged up in a plastic bag and our bags on the floor by the door. It seems they thought we were checking out that day... This was an unsettling experience for our last night. We just had to cross our fingers that they wouldn't accept any last-minute reservations for our room... All-in-all, we had an enjoyable stay. This is a good B&B, but it could still be better.
