Arriving in Lucca via train we easily followed the directions to L'Antica Bifore on foot. We met Stefano and Bird, who welcomed us in and showed us around the lovely b&b. Stefano and Bird were lovely hosts, recommending places to eat, drink and be merry. They also told us about the Miglia Miglia car rally – which made my boyfriend’s...

A wonderful experience and perfection personified !! Don't write many reviews but our superb experience here prompted me, on this occasion to do so. For a start Brid and Stefano couldn't have been better hosts - they seemed to anticipate the needs of every guest and interact with them accordingly. If you like to be steeped in history then you...

My husband and I spent two wonderful days at L'Antica Bifore this June - Stefano and Brid were fantastic hosts, and the rooms were stunning! The elegance of each room and the salon where we had breakfast had all the modern amenities, yet were so rich in Italian history. Our room with arched brick ceilings and walls was so charming...

Spent two wonderful nights in L'Antica Bifore with my wife towards the end of June. Can't speak highly enough of the hospitality that Stefano and Brid showed us during our stay in their guesthouse (thanks again guys for saving us from our initial drive into the town!!!). The accommodation itself is a really beautiful building right in the heart of...

Stefano went the extra mile for me and sourced goats yoghurt for my breakfast! The rooms were lovely and the helpful advice and information was much appreciated. The spring water was a real bonus too.

We spent three enjoyable days at L'Antica with our two year old toddler. Our hosts couldn't have been more welcoming or accommodating. Fantastic restaurant and activity recommendations and other helpful tips. The B&B is stunningly restored with great attention to detail, breakfast is also of higher than usual standards, complete with freshly baked cupcakes for our daughter!

Excellent stay for 3 nights. Nice couple owns this small b&b which used to be a luxury apartment in historical palazzo. Now 4 bedrooms with bath, and communal breakfast room. They arrive each morning to serve you breakfast, clean your room, and are very helpful with recommendations and bookings. Wifi works and the location is unbeatable, right on the main...

Stefano and Brid make your stay excellent -- when you stay right in Lucca, you need advice about where to go, where to eat, where to park, etc... Every morning at breakfast (we stayed four nights) they help you plan the perfect day. For being right in the main shopping district, the back (courtyard facing) room is surprisingly quiet.

A charming guesthouse from which to explore this beautiful town. Brede & Stefano, our hosts, were wonderful; welcoming, informative, & so very helpful. Our front room was beautifully decorated with frescoes & the huge gothic shaped windows opened onto the church opposite - you could almost reach out & touch it. Wish we'd had more time to linger over the...
