My husband and I stayed here for seven nights between our trips to Rome and Venice. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast delicious with cakes baked by Giovanni's lovely wife. The location is about a ten minute drive from Fiesole. From there you catch the bus to Florence, about a 20 minute ride. Although Florence was our least...

My wife and I stayed with my 13 year old son and loved our stay. Very comfortable room, good breakfast. The owner Gianni is very helpful, provided useful information on trips to Florence and other sights nearby. He carefully answered all our questions - and there were many! The location is very convenient to Fiesole and Florence, in a beautiful...

Its a perfect escape from busy city life, we stayed here for two nights. The rooms are perfectly sized, there's a restaurant within walking distance & if you don't have a car Giovanni provides transportation to the bus stop in Fiseole for a charge. You can catch #45 bus to downtown Florence which is around 20-25 mins ride. Giovanni is...

My husband and I spent 10 days in Italy. One of our stops was Poggio al Sole an Organic agriturismo. This beautiful spot provided us a quiet resting place for 3 nights. Amazing peaceful sunsets. We always made sure we were home in time to see the sunset with our most recent purchase of italian wine and bread! The accomodations...

I was not sure what to expect when I booked this farmhouse online. It turned out to be one of the best places that I have ever stayed in Europe. Located in the beautiful countryside of Tuscany, it was a serene, peaceful and breathtaking location. Outside our room were fragrant lavender bushes. The host family was incredibly nice and attentive....

We stayed for 6 nights at Poggio Al Sole in October of 2011. We are a family of 4 and used 2 rooms in the old stone house. They were the Iris room and the Ginnestra room. Both rooms were very clean and tastefuly decorated with comfortable beds and small touches such as big, fluffy towels, hairdryers and internet connection...

We drove here and stayed 4 nights. Poggio is about a 5 minute drive from Fiesole, a small hill top town which itself is about a 10 minute drive from Florence. Fiesole is very pretty with lovely views looking down on Florence. It’s hard to believe Florence is so close on one side and yet on the other side you...

My husband and I had a wonderful 10 days at the end of August 2011 at Poggio al Sole. The setting of the farm is great with views of the Tuscan hills dotted with olive groves, cypresses, medieval farmhouses and small churches. You could spend all your time at Poggio just relaxing in the garden under an age old oak...

We spent 6 nights at Poggio Al Sole and would thoroughly reccommend it to anyone wanting tranquility, beauty and a warm welcome. We were given good advice on arrival about where to eat locally (all excellent) and the breakfasts were fantastic. Fresh cakes and pastries, juice, home-made jams and beautiful honey. we really were delighted to have found it and...
