We stayed in a tent on the campsite, besides the soil being really though we had no problems with the pitch. The campsite has it's own shuttlebusses to take you to Florence for only 3 EUR a person, we used the bus twice and it was very fast. We also rented bikes for a full day to see Florence from another perspective which was definetly worth it. In between our visits the pool offered the perfect place to relax after a long day of walking around in Florence and to escape the high temperatures.

The bar was really cosy allthough maybe a little bit on the expensive side when compared with bars along the riverside. The location and services of this camping made our stay very pleasant and we definetly recommend this to anyone that wants to visit Florence.

Note: A lot of traffic coming in and out since most people only stayed here for 1 - 3 days. We stayed for 6 days and still felt like there was more to see.

The Chalets were small but very clean and new. The pool area was great - a huge lagoon for kids and a deeper pool as well.
We didn't take the shuttle into Florence as it only leaves you to piazza Ferucci but we took the regular ataf bus just outside the campsite that leaves you in the city centre. It is much cheaper as well - 1.50 per ticket and you can buy tickets at the info point.
We also rented bikes and cycled along the Arno into Florence which was lovely.
The staff were super friendly and kind (probably the best customer service I have ever experienced in Italy.
The only downside was that prior to arriving, any questions I had emailed the info email to ask a few questions prior to arriving and i was told to ring the camp/restaurant/pool if I wanted the relevant info. Also, there was not any gluten free lunch options for coeliacs in the bar (although there were some in the restaurant which is open at night) and very limited amount in supermarket too. The good news is that Florence is full of coeliac friendly restaurants and you can pick up whatever you need in the supermarkets outside of the camp.
Overall a great holiday, very friendly and kind staff, lovely clean campsite and close to Florence.

We stayed in a stay smart cabin which was good for 3 people. The beds are very comfortable and the shower is excellent. The mini fridge is very small though. There is a paddling pool and a deeper pool both very welcome after a hot day of sightseeing. The restaurant is very smart and the food was quite good. However there is no children’s play area or anything like that.
If you aren’t driving there’s a shuttle bus but it leaves you quite far from the centre of Florence and doesn’t run in the evening. There is a local bus which is about ten minutes walk from the campsite.
There is a play area for younger kids aged up to 7. Unfortunately there isn’t really anything for the 8+ kids and teens, no slides in the pool or other activities for them.
The shop sells most foods (it’s quite expensive )but the cabins don’t have any cooking facilities or plates etc.
Overall I would say this is a good place to stay if you want to combine some sightseeing with a pool holiday

We found this campsite to be a little gem. We were surprised there were three pools and found them to be perfect for our children - not too deep and a great non-slip surface. There were lots of sun loungers available and while it was busy, there was plenty of room for everyone to enjoy the facilities. The pool bar was reasonable for us as we're used to UK prices! The Campari Spritz was lovely and it was so convenient to be able to get easy kids food.

The Easy XL hut was well kitted out and surprisingly quiet, even with the bin area next to us. People were very respectful about noise levels while walking around at night and we found it quite fun to hear the band music from the military base nearby.

The restaurant was very good and we really appreciated that they did takeaway so we could grab a couple of pizzas to eat at the hut at the end of a long day in the sun. The service was efficient and we liked that they bought the kids' meals quickly.

The shuttle was handy and they seemed to have enough capacity if a large crowd had assembled at the popular times. We found it hard to make the timings work for the return but a taxi did not really break the bank, it was between 10-15 euros from the centre. It was a little walk into town but not too bad when you have energy at the start of the day, before it is too hot!

We appreciated the supermarket as well and some things were priced reasonably and we did not mind paying more for the other things because of the convenience. Hu staff were very friendly and helpful.

Very modern and fresh camping but there were some flaws unfortunately. The restaurant had good food but very poor service. The market had a good selection but closed for many hours during the day. The campsite overall was very expensive and stingy, extra costs for everything. We added breakfast when we booked but regretted it cause of the price, customer-service promised us it could be removed. But when we checked in we had to pay for the breakfast anyway, which included only ONE croissant, juice and hot drink. Tasted good but nothing you get full of. Most annoying is that we could have bought the same breakfast in the restaurant for a lower price than the one we paid. The rooms were fresh but the air-conditioning didn’t work. Big plus is the pool and pool area.

Almost great. The staff were not understanding or helpful when we had an issue. We stayed in the self contained chalet unit that supposedly had all the linen and kitchen amenities we would need... no chopping board for prepping food and no dish soap or brush! We couldn’t clean any of our dishes and they expected us to spend €5 on it when we are only staying 3 days! Yet they include body wash and hand soap??? Really stupid.

Great location, clean facilities, really good set up. There is an on-site shop which sells everything you may need or have forgotten. The site and showers are very clean. There is a shuttle bus that’s takes you in to town, but drops you outside the centre so you have to walk about 25 minutes from the drop off point in to the centre of Florence, but it only costs 3 euros for a return so is reasonable. We stayed in March when it was quiet so the toilets, showers and laundrette were always empty, can’t comment on how available they will be in the busy months. The staff are very helpful.

Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

I stayed at the campsite four days, bungalow n.174, during the pandemic. The security perceived is generally good but still might be improved expecially in the nighttime. The bungalow was comfortable and suitable for my needs, the bed and the shower were ok. I would improve: proposing a feed where also daily cleaning of the room is offered, install mosquitoes nets on doors/windows. For the rest it's ok to stay for a visit to Florence!

Stayed here in August for 5 nights as a group of 5 plus our dog in the chalet.

Atmosphere of the campsite is really relaxing with tuscan hills in background and river Arno running along side the site.

Site has a lot of facilities, allows dogs (10 EUR per day) and staff are friendly and helpful.

Pool and laguna was a god send given we visited during recent heatwave (40 degrees on two days).

Restaurant is open to the public and I advise to book in advance but the food is delicious - Peposo bun is recommended.

The reason I haven’t given 5 stars as there was a slight mix up of payment but was resolved after the visit and the flooring of our accommodation was in poor condition due to wear and tear and needs replacing but accommodation condition overall is quite good - note ceiling is low for those who are used to high ceilings - approx 2 meters

I chose this campsite for the location, price and facilities. Some of the reviews made me have low expectations. My expectations were far exceeded.

We stayed in a 3 bed cabin. It was clean and spacious, the beds were fine. There is a safe in the cabin and a great little area out front with a picnic table. There is a small fridge to store a couple of items. Some things I would improve in the cabin would be to have some plates and glasses. We bought some ingredients to make a sandwich and wanted to enjoy that and a drink, but when I asked reception about the possibility of getting some crockery and cutlery I was told to go and buy it in the market. We improvised so it was fine.

The design of the cabin also makes it hard to change with any privacy (travelling with my kids aged 16 and 23). A thin curtain near the sink area would make a great addition to allow some privacy but again we worked around it.

The site felt safe and the facilities were great, the pools area and the bar, the aqua class and an abundance of sun beds made for some relaxing times.

We ate in the restaurant the first night with some trepidation given reviews on here - we had made a reservation as advised and it was great. Value for money, good food and service was fine - we chose to eat here the next night too.

The market is a great option if you are without a car and prices are slightly higher but the convenience and range is great. I wouldn’t recommend the baked items first thing in a morning as they did not seem fresh and with no microwave to zap them, they weren’t great.

The shuttle bus to town is also a great option.

We are travelling by train and it was a reasonable walk to the station.

It would recommend this as a place to stay. It was relaxing and safe. A great location

They urge you to check in online but I’m not sure there is much point as security just give you a ticket and it is no quicker

Hi, Stazione Campo di Marte is the nearest station (about 4 km to Camping Village Firenze). If you arrive to Stazione Santa Maria Novella that is the main station, then you can take a bus. Bye, Lucia.
