We stayed here for one night on the first night of our honeymoon. Missed check-in but there was a very informative email sent and plenty of info on arrival re. keys, breakfast etc. Very central so perfect for exploring the city. Clean and simple with friendly service and a lovely breakfast

Brilliantly located, around the corner from the Domo, Il Salotto di Firenze offers fantastic value for it's large period rooms, as well as helpful staff and an inclusive breakfast. I couldn't recommend it enough for people who are looking for some something in between a hostel and a hotel.

Great hotel and very nice people running it! Only disadvantage is that the rooms face the Main Street so it's very noisy! Otherwise very clean and cozy! Recommended for whom noise doesn't bother them! It's locates right next to the duomo and everything is walking distance

Our family of five including three young adults found Il Salotto di Firenze PERFECT!! A friend who frequents the area told us about it. This location was a great home base for us. We were able to come and go walking to museums, trains, and unfortunately the hospital! The accommodations were clean and the breakfast to kick off each day... More

What's not like great place so easy manager Alessandro so helpful. This is easy living with plenty of amenities. No bar or restaurants but who needs that with this location. Can't praise enough will recommend to friends. Can't fault this place on description or service.

The location and the owners make this B&B unforgettable. It is a clean and well-kept property with history. The building is beautiful. Alessandro is kind and attentive to all the guests. He did his best to help and assist with any question we had. Breakfast is sufficient and the coffee wonderful. The location to the Duomo and the other sights... More

Location is key. Just in the corner of the Duomo and a 15 min walk to anywhere in town. Very helpful for all day city walks. It lives up to the promise of a bed and breakfast. Breakfast is basic but there is nothing important missing and everything is tasty and fresh. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. People on the... More

If you love history you'll love the proximity to major sites, lovely markets, and bustling Via Roma. Alessandro (Owner/Innkeeper) is lovely and so are both his two hotels (B&B's?). He's a Florentine native and began the business a decade ago. His attention to detail shows in every way: The rooms are thoughtfully and beautifully decorated, they're impeccably clean, his breakfast... More

Great Location and very clean rooms. loved the idea of the power in your room turning off when you took the key out. Great way to be eco-friendly. it was close to many attractions like the Duomo and the room was a fair size for Europe.

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
