We loved Florence, and this B& B was beautiful, comfortable and had a stunning location just next to the Duomo. Breakfast on the Terrace was spectacular. the room had comfort (Bed and A/C) and safety along with nice WiFi (free). Giorgio took good care to explain where to go and what to see. Take his advice!

It is difficult to find somewhere to stay in central Florence that is not too expensive. We found this B and B and were so surprised to find we were literally a stone s throw from the Duomo. The room was clean and comfortable and the patio where the breakfast was served had an excellent view of the Duomo. Despite...

We had a nice stay at this B&B. We did not eat breakfast there, because the coffee/pastry shop, Scudieri is on the corner, across the street, and it is heavenly. The balcony where breakfast is served is nice, though. We thought the bells from Il Duomo would be problematic for us in the morning, but they were not. Although they...

We loved staying in the B&B. We were free to come and go and we felt like in our home. But be sure about the time you arrive as you can only arrive during the day. We saw a couple that arrived in the sunday evening and they could not stay.

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
