My husband and I just LOVED the Portrait. we had such a fabulous stay at this property. The staff is so wonderful especially the concierge staff. they were not only friendly and caring but had great recommendations for restaurants. I don't always like to go on hotel recs for restaurants - many times they may not choose a restaurant for...

From your arrival experience to the boutique rooms, OR from the food to the exceptional 'personalized' service, the Portrait will be the best hotel you have ever experienced. My family is hard to please and before we left, all were in agreement, the stay at the Portrait was the best ever. Unlike many hotels, we were made to feel at...

As a special treat for New Year's Eve, we scheduled our first visit to Florence. The city was magical over the winter holiday, but one of the most memorable aspects of the trip was our stay at the stylish Portrait Firenze. The suite was impeccable, and the view of the Arno and Ponte Vecchio, picture-postcard perfect. There couldn't be a...

We stayed at Portrait Firenze in 2013 and had the most wonderful time. I am not one to stay in the same place twice but we definitely have plans to return. In addition, the buffet breakfast was AMAZING. I balked when my husband purchased it and was forced to eat my words (along with the breakfast!). There was so much...

We spent 5 days just before Christmas at the Portrait in Florence, and it was without a doubt one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had. Starting at check-in, where you feel you are in a (very wealthy) friend's living room, to the magnificent suite with bird's eye view of the Ponte Vecchio, to the Ferragamo toiletries, everything...

We had the pleasure of returning to the Portrait Firenze in November, and yet again had one of the most memorable hotel experiences we can recall. The property itself is outstanding - large, stylish and comfortable rooms combined with one of the best locations in Florence. It also has a great dining option in Caffe dell'Oro. These factors alone would...

The hotel was a very short drive from the train station - located right next to the Ponte Vecchio . The lobby is small without the usual desk area - instead check in was in the lounge where we were offered drinks while the paperwork was being sorted . There was some miscommunication in our booking from LHW but this...
