We were only looking at St. Regis and the Four Seasons in Florence then I found this hotel online. I am very particular about hotel services and detail to attention..etc when I travel - no different than most reviewers here looking for similar hotel class. I took a chance on Portrait Florence because the reviews are just amazing and I...

Overlooking the Arno river and a few steps from the Ponte Vecchio, this luxury hotel exudes quality and class. The room finishes are impeccable, the style brilliant and the service outstanding, with many little touches to render your stay memorable. The position is unbeatable, within walking distance of Florence's main attractions. The only downside was the food service; whilst the...

Portrait Firenze was fabulous!!! We love the Lungarno Collection of hotels owned by the Ferragamos. Last year, we stayed across the Arno in Hotel Lungarno, an equally superior hotel. We were disappointed the Hotel Lungarno was not available for booking this year due to renovations but its replacement Portrait Firenze was a spectacular lodging experience. The extremely helpful staff, the...

Room type: Superior suite river view. Location: Heart of Florence, literally within 100 steps to Ponte Vecchio, walking distance to most major attractions. Room: Clean and spacious. Wi-fi is fast and no technical problems noted. Mini bar wasn't mini, was more of a small kitchen without a stove, very handy. Bathroom amenities were high quality, even the hair dryer was...

We stayed at the Portrait in Florence (and also the one in Rome a little later in our trip). The hotel is small enough to be intimate and warm but also has a great restaurant and bar. Wonderful location adjacent to the Ponte Vecchio, lots of light and with great views. The Portrait hotels are almost like arriving at a...

As they say: "Location, Location, Location!" The hotel is located on the Arno, literally overlooking the Ponte Vecchio. This very stylish hotel (Ferragamo Group) was wonderful for our stay while visiting our son on his semester abroad. The Staff was very attentive and the concierge gave great dining and shopping recommendations, and helped with all of our logistics. Upon check-in...

Great location. Nice design. Rooms a little on the small side but we had a suite which was ample. Breakfast very nice. Everyone very helpful. Not cheap at €1600 for 2 nights. Old Florence definitely worth s visit as is the factory outlet The Mall. 2.5 days ample to see and get the atmosphere.
