Really lovely hotel with clean, spacious rooms with available parking on site. Simple but complete Workout Gym. A good breakfast selection & restaurant on site. Close enough to the city with a Shuttle Bus Service that’s well worth it to save on city parking.
First of all I was disappointed that hey would brand this hotel as a Hilton. My expectations for Hilton branded properties is based on what I've seen in the US and being a Diamond member I've stayed at a large number of them over the years. I would compare this hotel to a maybe 3 star hotel in the US. Lobby and common areas look great. Rooms are okay, however, fairly dated, temp control is an issue but front desk has the ability to adjust by +/- 3 degrees. We had 2 rooms and both came only with 1 towel for 4 people. This was annoying and we had to ask multiple times. Front desk staff was much nicer than the rest. Bar staff especially lived up to the rude Italian theme we experienced during our trip. Be ware, this hotel is located quite far from all the action. I'd recommend spending a few extra bucks and finding a place closer in if you're a tourist. The costs / time spent commuting isn't worth it.…
Okay, so first, this is NOT in the central part of Florence. If you want to be in the midst of that, this hotel may not be for you. Also, this has the feel of an American hotel - so if that is not what you want, again, you might want to look elsewhere. Note: I am Diamond Hilton and have been critical of properties when warranted. But, this property has some great things going for it. First, we found the staff FANTASTIC in every way. This hotel is a bit older - but appears to be in great repair and is VERY Clean. You know how in some older hotels they just look a bit shabby - this is NOT the case in the property. It is aging, but aging pretty well I think. Transportation. A cab from the train station is about 20 minutes and about 22 Euros. But they have a great shuttle running pretty continuously from 10 am every day that drops and picks up right across the street from the train station (so very much central Florence). Breakfast. The breakfast is a buffet that would be better than average for American Standards. Rooms (we had 2 - one for my wife and I and one for our teenagers): Rooms were clean and quiet.…
This was a very average stay for being a Hilton member and comparing it to other experiences I’ve had . Most of their facilities were closed (pool, lounge) and they did not offer anything for the inconvenience. It is far out of the city so they do offer shuttles for 1.50 which was convenient but there is limited seating and times. For being a “ 4 star hotel” I excepted a little better hospitality and in my opinion it wasn’t worth what I paid for.
This hotel is in a residential area. Close to the airport but far from any sights in Florence Italy. The rooms are clean and fine. The bar is small. No special areas for Hilton honors members. 20 euro taxi from the train station and the center of town. Staff was nice but Nothing around it really.
Long way from the tourist spots. Outdated property. bad carpet has not been replaced for years. Out of the 4 elevators, there were only two working. Guests had to wait over 30 minutes after check-in to get into elevators. Don't want to tell you how long will it take to go to downstairs in the morning to eat breakfast. The room deadbolt was not working. The water pressure is way too high and the door is not sealed well. You will see water pour out from the door after the shower.
Hello to Hilton along with TripAdvisor review folks !! It has been two weeks since I left Florence and has taken me time to decompress from the reason I was at this hotel !! The visit took me too this awesome hotel due to family vespa emergency which occurred in Tuscany! On May 3 rd , I received a FaceTime call by my daughter and Italian police to advise me of my daughter and ex wife were in a vespa accident- and both were going to hospital. At this moment from New York I got on an afternoon flight to Florence with no clue what I was about face for two weeks!! Upon arrival ,, I sourced my hotel thru the Hilton App! When I checked in at hotel I was acknowledged with open arms ! I met the operations, Mgr ; Leonardro!! He was my advisor on all the stages of this family emergency . He guided me with logistics, translated hospital papers / translated banking instructions/ translated documents of all sorts Supported my transportation needs / hospital recovery stores The entire hotel staff from breakfast to lunch to dinner restaurants kept my energy positive !! Upon arrival from the hospital after ten days with several surgeries completed the hilton hotel supported me with room needs for wheelchair patrons!!! The support for them was extremely extraordinary during our 4 day rehab time before taking both girls back to USA !!! The time and energy Leonardro gave to me was a primary reason of success for the girls to get back to usa !! Thank you with my family’s love from team Hilton - lead by Leonardro!!! Cheers to Hilton’s team and I look forward to Enjoy Florence correctly next time See you in the future Peter - diamond member…
We stayed at the Hilton Florence Metropole at the end of our trip to Italy prior to flying out of the Florence airport. Front desk staff were very helpful and gave us a beautiful room overlooking the city center. We needed to return our rental car at the airport and were given information on how to take the tram from the airport into the city center and then take the hotel shuttle back from the city center to the hotel. We were even able to buy tram tickets at the front desk! The Hilton Metropole made our FLR departure easier with its location close to the airport and the transportation options it offers. The kind, knowledgeable staff made our stay special.
What an odd place..! Hotel is a long way out so that restricts ‘popping out’ to see things as it involves a coach ride (20-30 mins) and a bit of a walk. Small mall nearby. Rooms clean and large and a fairly good breakfast. It feels like an airport or conference venue. However, staff were excellent and all v friendly.
May 2022 and the hotel states the executive lounge remains closed for “Covid safety reasons” yet the restaurant is packed to capacity. We were given 1 free drink and appraiser voucher and when you read the fine print it’s only good for a soda and the bar tinder informs us that the app is free potato chips. Not exactly what I think of as an “ appetizer” and only decaffeinated freeze dried coffee stocked in the rooms. As a Hilton diamond member this location’s level of service rates among one of the poorest I’ve stayed. Consider staying elsewhere
