Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Villa is a quiet place on a hill between Firenze and Fiesole really closed to both and easily connected with a bus stop. Best choice for either a long or a short staying. Good relationship, nice place, very good breakfast.

Basic hotel, though very clean, friendly staff, and excellent views! Stayed for seven nights in November 2019 for a business trip. The hotel is well located on a bus line with easy access to EUI and downtown Florence. All staff were extremely friendly and accommodating.

Newly restored building. Rooms and the enseble are overall certainly suitable. Breakfast very good. Excellent cleaning of the rooms. Very clean bed linen. Enchanting position on the hill of Fiesole, with an exceptional landscape.

The Villa is in the hills above Florence and is owned by a Missionary order. There is plenty of parking. A bus stop is a few hundred metres from the Villa and it takes about 15mins to the centre. You can buy tickets at reception and the staff were very helpful with bus numbers and stops. Our room was a bit more basic than we were expecting and quite small with twin beds. It did however open onto a large shared terrace. The bathroom was a good size, we had very good internet access but tea and coffee facilities were only available in the communal dining area. · Room was quite small and the twin beds a bit basic. No in room tea and coffee facilities.

I visited villa la Stella when I was attending a conference at the nearby university. The room was basic, but it was extremely clean. It had many necessary amenities and the shower was good. Breakfast had a large selection and was nice. This hotel is not central to Florence, so if you want convenience it is probably not your best option. The biggest perk of the stay was waking up, opening my window and having the beautiful duomo of my view. Not many Florence hotels will have that.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are basic however spacious and clean. The beds comfortable and the breakfast offered is great! We had room 322 and the view was stunning. Parking on site. The bus stop heading into Florence is just outside the premise. It takes about 15 to 20 mins and costs 1.20 euros per person each way. Recommend the drive up further into the hills of Fiesole which has amazing views of Florence. A great place to base yourself if you want tranquility after a busy day of touring :)

This place is probably worth its low cost... but if you have extra money, go elsewhere. The bed is a board, the air conditioning didn't work, and if you open the windows to counteract the heat, the screens do not keep out mosquitoes. The breakfast is passable.

Villa La Stella is located on the hills in the middle of a beautiful garden, 5min by car from Fiesole. In our room 324 we had a stunning view on Firenze and the sweet scent of jasmine coming from the garden. If you like a quiet location you shouldn't miss this one!
