A very pretty room just next to the breakfast room which made our mornings very easy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. The room was spotless and we were just a few minutes from the town centre. Perfect!

Antica Dimora was our base for 3 nights whilst sightseeing in Florence. I wanted somewhere with Florentine character and charm at a reasonable price. It was a perfect choice! Far enough away from the crowded tourist area but close enough to walk everywhere easily. All the staff we met were very friendly and accommodating - from helping us with maps...

My mom and I stayed here and found the B&B to be lovely, quaint and cozy. It was not as clean as we like things - felt a bit musty, old and dark. However, that could be apart of the charm for some. Overall, staff was nice and accommodating. Decent location away from the touristy madness downtown but not too...

We stayed here for 4 nights in mid July at the height of the tourist season. We had a really comfortable quiet bedroom just a ten to fifteen minute walk from the centre. Showers are not a priority in some hotels but this hotel had a fabulous shower, really powerful and so easy to use. We loved the breakfast. The...

Great hotel 10 mins walk from the centre, very welcoming and friendly with beautifully designed rooms. Ours had a lovely balcony and incredibly high ceilings. The hotel is one floor of a large old residence, the reception is only manned certain hours. We were met at street level directly from the taxi and shown to our rooms. Foyer has an...

The rooms were immaculate, the wi-fi and air conditioning worked great. It was a 15 min walk from the main train station and 10 minute walk from the main tourist attractions. That's what matters to me most in accommodations. But, it was more. It was very quiet, the rooms were lovely and had a lot of character. The choices for...

We had a lovely time here as a family for my mothers 60th birthday trip. The service was good, nice breakfast and clean, comfortable rooms. I would recommend this place. It's not like a regular hotel- more of a serviced apartment.

This was in a beautiful homely apartment with very helpful staff. Really a warm and cozy place which was lovely to come back to on a couple of rainy days in Florence. Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The pleasant atmosphere of this residential area, a stone’s throw away from the Duomo of Florence, surprises everyone. A continuous flow of backpacking students provides the tranquil surroundings for the elderly residents who sit in Piazza San Marco to read the daily newspaper. Home to several universities, including the Academy of Fine Arts, San Marco is one of the most vibrant cultural centers in the city. A bridge connecting the modern cultural activity of Florence to its classic art, represented by the everlasting magnificence of the original David, resonates as a symbol of Florence and of Italy as a whole. Get lost in a Neoclassic world, a journey back in time through historic buildings like Spedale degli Innocenti (Hospital of the Innocents), San Marco church, Basilica della Santissima Annunziata, and natural jewels like the Botanical Gardens.
