We chose to stay at Villa Agape on our honeymoon and from the moment we arrived it was phenomenal. Don’t be put off by thinking it looks slightly out of town, the location is perfect and they run a shuttle bus on request which drops you a 10 minute stroll from the Centre. We were upgraded to the Dutches suite which had incredible views from the windows out over the Tuscan countryside. It’s everything you want from the romantic idea of a Tuscan villa, right on the doorstep of Florence, we had a drink every night out in the stunning grounds which looked like a movie set. Breakfast was plentiful and if great quality. We also ate at the villa one night and we’re not disappointed. The food and service were marvellous. Not one member of staff let us down, where there was a language barrier, another member of staff was instantly called. We already long to return to this fantastic hotel. We’ll be sharing more pictures on instagram soon!…
My husband and I spent three night in this wonderful hotel. We wanted to be away from the city center and I am so glad we picked this place to stay. It is on the other side of the river Arno, on a hill top, overlooking a beautiful valley, surrounded by amazing gardens and olive trees. The view is just spectacular! The rooms were small but very comfortable, well furnished, and with comfortable beds. The staff was the best, so hands on and helpful. They provide a shuttle service, which despite the taxi strike, made life easy. The breakfast is so good and the two dinners we had there were great. We would love to return!
This quaint hotel was absolutely perfect! The staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was great with a lot to choose from. Dinner was delicious. The room was bigger than a lot we had in Europe. The grounds areas were beautiful. Shuttle to town was a definite perk while taxis were on strike 😜
Everything was perfect: the customer service, the room, the breakfast, the breathtaking garden and the bar. I wish we would have stayed here longer on our Italy trip cause this was the best hotel we stayed at and also Florence was our fav city in northern Italy 😊 We’ll definitely come back!
Lovely Hotel with stunning gardens. Cozy room with all amenities. Breakfast was fresh with many choices. Still missing the fresh squeezed juices. Small bar with testy light eats. The gardens are quiet, vast and relaxing. Will return again.
Hardly know where to start! Gardens are the highlight of this hotel in a historical property once owned by a duchess! We stayed for 5 nights in a suite, large room and bathroom, a good night’s sleep with shuttered windows. Free shuttle bus to piazza Michaelangelo and Porto San Nicolo 0.5km to Ponte vechio) A peaceful haven from the noise and bustle of the city. Classed as a 4 star, but should be 5! Friendly staff with great service. Hope to go back one day.
Wow was what we did on our first visit in 2018 and 4 years later it is still wow. New rooms have been added we were lucky we ought to have one of these. The gardens and olive groves are still an attraction. Breakfast is good too with a variety of hot and cold foods which you can dine indoors or Al fresco which on a warm April morning is perfecto. Cannot rate the people who work here highly enough. On my last review I said it could do with a restaurant which it now has. A slightly broader range on the menu would be beneficial. It is out of town in a quiet neighbourhood nothing much around so make sure you know how to get about as the free shuttle service now finishes at 8pm. Lots of on site parking I think there’s an Electric vehicle charge point too. The rooms are comfortable and good amenities in the bathrooms. On site bar and lots of places to sit and relax inside and outside. Will definitely return.…
Absolutely wonderful stay. An outstanding hotel with speechless view and amazing wines, drinks and food. But mostly… the service is unbelievable. Everyone of the team looks after all customers and do anything possible for their customers. Our biggest “thank you” goes to Mario and Graziano, two members of the team who truly go the extra mile just to make your stay a great memory. Really well done.
Just spent six wonderful nights at Villa Agape. This was our second visit and we hope there will be many more. We have stayed in several hotels on previous visits to Firenze and Villa Agape is among the best. Aside from the beauty of the surroundings, it is the staff that makes Villa Agape so special. Leonard and Matteo made all the requested restaurant reservations and were incredibly helpful throughout our stay. Hotel breakfasts are usually nothing to rave about, but breakfast was incredible, fresh squeezed juices and just about anything else one could want. The location is ideal if you don’t want the hustle and bustle of downtown Florence. The hotel provides free parking and a shuttle service, but walking to town is easy and the views of Firenze on the way into town are breathtaking. You may spend more for a luxury hotel, but you won’t find better,…
We had our amazing wedding at Villa Agape. Our guests were very complimentary of the location and the views were fantastic. We could not recommend this hotel enough, the staff were really helpful, the food in the restaurant was fantastic and the shuttle is really helpful in allowing you to get in and out of the city centre.
