My wife and l just spent several nights at Hotel Cestelli at the end of March and absolutely loved our stay. We have traveled throughout Italy and this was by far our favorite place. From the ambience, energy, decor and most friendly and helpful owners, Alessio and Assumi, we could not have had a more enjoyable stay. The room was...

My fiancee and I just returned from a 2 night stay and thoroughly enjoyed it. The location is excellent, down a quiet street, close to the Ponte Vecchio and other well-known sites. The owners were always on hand and full of tips and recommendations which really enhanced our stay. Our room was clean, simple and charming. No TV or phone...

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights in Feb. I actually find it difiicult to rate because the good points make for a great review but some other factors let us down. The good points are; the service is excellent. The owners are very keen to help and assist and pointed us in the direction of some fab...

My fiance and I had a wonderful experience at Hotel Cestelli. Promptly greeted by the gracious hosts, we were led to a spotless & gorgeous authentic-style Italian room, with an extremely comfortable king size bed. Tastefully and minimally decorated it enabled us to be captivated by the complex beauty of Firenze (Florence). Hotel Cestelli's simple yet elegant accomodations were remarkable...

We, too, like other travellers chose this hotel based on the previous reviews. We were not dissapointed. It was a nice, clean cozy room within walking distance to all the sights. The price, 85 euro a night was also good. Also, be sure to ask the owners for their recomendations. We got great tips on restaurants and a great place...

We chose this due to the overwhelming positive reviews posted. The hotel is in a convenient part of town, near Ponte Vecchio. As we arrived by taxi and walked up the two flights of stairs, we noticed the moldy smell in the stairwell. The reception area was warm and welcoming with burning incense, and the room was large. However, the...

We were not disappointed, We took a bedroom with a privat bath and we found it to be exceptional. The owners are exceptional in helping and the eating establishments they recommend are outstanding. The location of...

This is a lovely hotel in the old section of Florence. The rooms are very cleam and the atmosphere is welcoming. On arrival we were shown all the key places to see, eat and avoid which helped greatly with our stay in Florence. Our room was large and airy and was very comfortable. I would recommend anybody to stay here.

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Cestelli for 6 nights during the last week of September, 2006. I don't have much to add to the previous reviews. Alessio and Asumi are indeed gracious hosts. We stayed in room 5, which was a large room with it's own bathroom. The street noise, in my opinion, was a bit much...

We stayed at Hotel Cestelli for 4 nights and really loved it. The location is terrific, the owners are fantastic and friendly, and the room had a wonderful antique look and feel to it. Highly recommended.

Staying in Uffizi

Neighbourhood Profile
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.
