This hotel was so good to us. We had two adjoining rooms that created a apartment type situation. The location was impeccable. Travelling with 3 small children we could see a million sights within minutes walking back to the hotel (including a day trip to Venice on the train!). The breakfasts were really wonderful and relaxing. Also, this pool has a offsite swimming facility 10 mins drive from the hotel which, being July provided afternoon entertainment for children a little tired of museums. Lovely Australian guy at Reception made us feel so incredibly welcome. It was a great experience we hope to repeat.

This hotel is a reasonable walking distance from the main Santa Maria Novella station. The concierges at this hotel are great and were very responsive to my emails prior to arriving regarding a transfer I needed to a remote location in the countryside (as I was not renting a car). I was given a warm welcome by the concierge though I was not offered the welcome drink that other reviews mention and the smart phone is also no longer available. I stayed in a single room which was large enough for me. It was very clean, beautifuly decorated, had a wooden floor which I prefer as they are cleaner, a lovely colour scheme and a luggage rack (which annoyingly not all hotels offer). Some parts of the hotel did have a smell but my room was fine so this was not an issue. The breakfast had a slight lack of vegetarian choice but I managed to find enough things to eat. The fresh produce was not as flavourful as I would've expected from Italy and I was surprised that UK supermarkets have better. The potatoes were cold which was disappointing but the scrambled eggs were creamy (which is how they actually should be vs what you normally get at a buffet breakfast) and I had the best coffee I'd had in a long time! I would happily stay at this hotel again if were to ever return to Florence.

Lovely hotel in a great location with exceptional staff. Comfortable bed, hot water, nice amenities, clean room. This hotel came as a recommendation from friends and I can recommend it, as well, to others. The staff really standout - plenty of recommendations offered for restaurants and shopping. Easy walk to most places of interest. Will definitely stay again when I return to Florence.

This hotel is beautiful - one of my favourite hotels I have stayed in. The room was stunning and very comfortable, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The spa was a perfect place to relax after long days walking around sightseeing. It was my first time in Florence and I won't forget the beautiful room, or walking around the corner and seeing the Duomo for the first time. Just perfect, I will return to Florence and stay here again! <3

If its luxury, location and service you are after, look no further. The staff are amazing here and you can see why; we had the pleasure of meeting Paul the owner/manager who really cares about his clientele and staff. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, the staff are there to greet you with a smile and ensure your every need is looked after. The room was very spacious with, high ceilings and large bathroom. The pictures don’t really do them justice. Our room had a jacuzzi bath in it, which was a lovely surprise. Breakfasts were very good and hotel just has a lovely vibe about it. In terms of service, we must complement all of the front desk staff especially. From Yanni’s warm welcome to Paolo’s great recommendations for lunch spots. In particular, we were really grateful for the help from Beatrice, Martina and Paolo who went out of their way to help with an unfortunate issue we had with ATAF (the tram company). To cut a long story short we took the ATAF tram from the the airport to the hotel. We bought tickets but never realised that you have to ‘validate’ them by getting them stamped. As such we were fined EUR 50 each, when the conductor checked our tickets a few minutes into our tram journey! Talk about a tourist trap! Anyways, thanks to the hotel, we were able to appeal in Italian via email, something we could never have done without their help. If we come back to Florence we will definitely stay at Number Nine again. All the sights are a short walk away, there are amazing restaurants everywhere and we will certainly recommend the hotel to our friends and colleagues too.
