We really enjoyed staying at the Cimatori on March for the second time. Everything was just perfect and Domenico, the owner was very friendly and helpfull. The Cimatori is the only place wher you can really feel like at your home far from home.

Management response:

We always inform our guests about the cancellation policy when we send them an offer and a confirmation letter . We do our best to be flexible but this reservation was cancelled just the day before the arrival on Easter week.

Cimatori was just perfect for our stay in Florence. When you only have a couple of days it's important to be right in the heart of the place, and you cannot beat Cimatori on this. Pretty much everywhere you might want to go is just a few minutes walk away. The room we had was really nice. Very simply furnished...

My husband and I stayed at the Cimatori Bed and Breakfast over Christmas and were really disappointed. After all the great reviews, we were sure this would be a terrific place. On a positive note, the B&B is right in the heart of the old city, so most all of the attractions are walking distance. The rooms are spacious and...

My husband and I stayed for three days (too short) at the wonderful Bed and Breakfast "Cimatori Guest House" (the long weekend at the end of October/beginning of November). We walked there from the train station in Florence with no problem at all (I think it took less than 10 minutes. The location is only minutes from the Duomo and...

Cimatori was excellent for our family of four. Valerie and Dominic are lovely hosts; friendly and accommodating and fun. The location is perfect for sightseeing in Florence. Being near the train station also made it easy for us to take the train to Venice for a day trip.

My 15 day stay at Cimatori Bed & Breakfast in Florence, Italy was wonderful. It is a small, unassuming, very well kept and well equipped property in a superb location. Valeria and Domenico were always willing to assist with dinner recommendations, reservations, museum and travel options, etc. and with each we couldn't have been happier. Breakfast awaited us with freshly...

My mother and I just returned from a two week trip to Italy. While in Florence we stayed at this bed and breakfast. Actually, it was my second stay as my husband and I spent two weeks there two years ago. I love the small, quite atmosphere at the Cimatori. It feels very personal and comfortable. Good beds and cleanliness...

You can walk out the door and be at Il Duomo in about 3 minutes, or at Ponte Vecchio in about 8. All the major piazzas are a block or two away. There could hardly be a location that puts you more in the middle of the action. We didn't encounter any noise issues - not a one. Florence city...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
