We stayed at La fornella Dell'Anita for two nights during our honeymoon in August 2022.
We've now been in Italy for 2.5 weeks, eating out for every meal and the food at La fornella remains up there with the best food we've eaten on the trip. Absolutely delicious, a great range of dishes, catering expertly to dietary requirements - and you definitely will not go hungry. Anita is a fabulous cook! The only problem was trying to find the space to eat more!
It is such a beautiful setting - amongst fruit trees and an olive grove. We had a great time relaxing by the pool, playing cards before dinner while enjoying the views across the valley and beautiful sunsets.
Francesco and Anita made us feel extremely welcome and looked after throughout our stay and provided great recommendations for the local area.
Bjorn and Lucky were also very relaxed and friendly dogs which was an added bonus.
We cannot recommend it enough. A real highlight of a brilliant trip.

Our family (12 people) stayed in the house of Anita and Francesco, which is located on top of a hill in the beautiful landscape of Tuscany. The view was absolutely amazing. The rooms, the garden and the pool were beautiful and calm. Francesco was always cheerful and ready to fulfill all our wishes. And Anita is the best cook I've ever met. Her food was so delicious that we always took dinner on their terrace instead of discovering other restaurants. I warmly recommend La Fornella Dell'Anita for relaxing holidays if you are not afraid of coming home with a few extrakilos.

We stayed with our family at La Fornella Dell'Anita for three nights in June 2024. Amazing place! La Fornella Dell'Anita offers a wonderful setting among fruit trees and an olive grove, with beautiful views across the valley.
Francesco and Anita are the best possible hosts, making us feel extremely welcome and well cared for throughout our stay. They provided fantastic recommendations for exploring the local area. We also enjoyed the company of their cute and friendly dogs, Bjorn and Lucky.
The food at La Fornella is among the best we've had on our trip in Italy. Anita's cooking is absolutely delicious, and you definitely won't go hungry here!

On our trip across Italy, the five-day stay at La Fornella was the highlight. The property, the flats, the swimming pool, the beautiful surroundings, the delicious food and last but not least the warm hospitality of Francesco and Anita made this stay special. Francisco and Anita are wonderful hosts. They have put a lot of thought into making Fornella a perfect retreat from the everyday. Tucked away in the hills 45 minutes from Florence this is an ideal base for exploring Chianti country. The room is spacious and well thought out with a good hard bed and AC. Anita’s cooking sets the place apart. Excellent cuisine put together with only ingredients from the Tuscan countryside.

Having visited Florence before, my husband and I decided to forgo the crowds and chaos of downtown Florence in August and stay at this small paradise of a bed and breakfast. We wanted to be somewhere close to Florence, without all of the crowds and possibly have a chance to meet more Italians than we have in the past. It was the perfect choice. The rooms are set in a converted farm house on the owners olive grove. Our room was decorated with just gorgeous Tuscan antiques. We felt like we has escaped to another time and place where everything is simpler and quiet. We had our own kitchen, and our room had a fireplace - although we didn't use it. We spent much of our time just catching up together in this paradise of a setting, and then drove a half hour into Florence when we wanted to brave the madness. The owner Cassie, is American, and was able to organize several activities for us including a wine tour, dinner at her favorite restaurant, and a cooking class. She also provided us with tons of information that made it easy for us to go into the city when we wanted to - like where to park and eat. We felt she really went out of her way without being intrusive to give us a perfect break. If you want to get out of the city and loose the tourist crowds La Fornella is the perfect choice.

We arrived at La Fornella Dell'Anita having had to leave another agriturismo near Florence early because we were so dissatisfied with the accommodation. When booking La Fornella, we spoke at length with Francesco to be certain we wouldn't be disappointed a second time. As per the title, he and Anita and their beautiful home became our saviours! As soon as we arrived, he explained that this was their home to which they were both delighted to welcome us and although they would not be invade our personal space, they would be there 24/7 for anything we needed. The property setting is magnificent - everything you would dream of seeing from your Tuscan bedroom window when you wake in the morning. The apartments, newly renovated, are absolutely gorgeous. The décor is really attractive with a beautiful mix of old antiques and contemporary conveniences. The pool area and garden are really lovely. We ate there for the four evenings we stayed and it was amongst the best food we had in Italy during our three week stay. Anita is a wonderful cook and a beautiful person. She tailored her menus to suit our children, and we adults ate everything that was put in front of us - every morsel delicious. It was great to finish our Italian trip on a high and we very much look forward to returning to help Francesco and Anita with the olive harvest some time in the future!
