Kind and helpful service, great location, simple accommodations. Given the moderate price, a pretty good value. Throughout our short stay (two nights), the young women at the front office were very helpful. Check-in and out were efficient. They helped us with restaurant recommendations -- which turned out to be good recommendations! -- and arranging a taxi to the train station....

We just returned from a 10 day trip in Italy and Trip Advisor was my key resource for checking out accomodations. Trip Advisor was right on target with Relais Cavalcanti - It EXCEEDED our expectations - immaculate, centrally located, and a good price. We were traveling with our teenage sons so they had a room down the hall. We had...

This hotel was in the B & B section of Booking Site. There was a coffee maker and some coffee, sugar, biscuits etc in a dining area but no milk and no fridge. There was a fridge in the room. So breakfast as such was not included so it's a hotel in my opinion. We requested one of the standard...

We do not manage a luxury place but you can be sure we always try to do our best to make our guests comfortable and happy. We stayed for 5 nights in may. The location is great, the room we got was large and nice and the sisters who run the place gave us a service in familiy atmosphere. The beds were a little bit harder then we norwegian are used to, but maybe we use to soft beds up her in the north were the...

We spent 4 days in lovely Florence and stayed at Relais Cavalcanti. We had rented a car (that we used for 6 days while staying in Trequanda) that we decided to drop off outside the city centre as we heard it is very difficult to drive in the city. We were happy we decided to this as the streets are...

This place is a real find in the heart of historic Florence. You can walk to the Uffizi and the Ponte Vecchio in less than five minutes, and every other major attraction is also within walking distance. Our room was quite large with high ceilings and a nicely appointed bathroom. The people at the front desk were very helpful (particularly...

This is a terrific spot in central Florence. The room we had (a double with twin beds) was spacious, as was the en suite bathroom. The owners were incredibly helpful when my luggage was lost on the way to Italy. There are some drawbacks, but for the location, the cleanliness, the spaciousness, it is all worth it. We stayed in...

This was a very good place to stay in Florence. Close to everything, yet on a quiet side street. Room itself was great. A bit noisy with the market getting setup but the airconditioner dealt with that. Certainly would stay there again if staying in Florence.

This property is unique, fun, comfortable and welcoming. The location is perfect: literally just around the corner from the Uffizi (and the outdoor David) but on a side street so there is no traffic. We specifically asked for a room overlooking the marketplace and thought it was great to watch and listen to all the action. Although we enjoyed the...

My husband and I stayed at this hotel April of 2007 and loved it. The hotel is in a fantastic location, you can walk to everything. The accommodations were spotless, comfortable and roomy. The front desk was courteous and helpful giving tips on where to eat and sights to see. It would be hard to find a better hotel for...

Staying in Uffizi

Neighbourhood Profile
Uffizi
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.
