Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This hotel says that it has AC….and it does have AC units, but ours was broken. In the heat wave. We tried to get help with this twice, and they refused to do anything other than say “I don’t know, it will get cold.” This was after the AC had been running for 24 hours and was putting out room temp air (room temp was 28C). We know ours was broken because the unit in the lobby was pumping cold air while ours was not. Miserable. No offer to contact someone to fix it, to move our room, to give us any money back. We got no sleep for 2 days. Finally it was time to check out, and the staff were rude there as well. He kept banging on the desk yelling that our card wasn’t going through. Meanwhile, he charged us THREE times, so now we have to dispute the charge. Florence was lovely, but this hotel cast a shadow on the stay. Do not stay here.

Our room was a pleasant surprise, small but modernized and very clean, as well as quite safe. We accidently forgot to lock the in-room safe and all our items were as we left them upon return to the room. Marcel is charming and helpful. No piazza noise due to very well sealed windows that could be opened if desired.

I have seen there are no recent reviews so will update you on our visit. First off this is NOT a hotel and they do not have any services at all. They don't advertise that so it is what is says a B&B. Our room way extremely small even for europe rooms. The bathroon was the size of a telephone booth. The drain did not work at all and within 2 minutes the pan was filled and overflowing into the bathroom. You can not use the shower bascially. The air conditioning works but sounds like there are coins bashing around in it and can't really be used at all. No way to sleep in the room with that noise.. its not just a little noise it rattling really loudly. The person that run the place is only there from 2-6pm. He was very nice and helpful. If you need anything after that you are on your own. He said call him and he can come back. But hardly feels right calling a guy to run over to bring extra towels. While the location is excellent..... without a fan or air conditioning the outside noise it unbearable. Loud parties and people have fun below until at least 4:00am. I think I was dosing here and there as I heard about 30 people signing happy birthday at 3:30am. I know we had the smallest room but had I been there a second night I would have checked out a day early. This again is not a hotel I would say its a dorm room with a view.

The host was wonderful and welcoming! The room was spacious and beautiful, and so was the view! The location was perfect, it is situated right in front of the Battistero and Church! The breakfast was great for the times we are in. The host brought it in at 8:30am everyday and it included croissants(chocolate and apricot), nutella, coffee and hot chocolate, yogurt, fruit, and an occasional sweet treat. Wonderful overall and I highly recommend staying here!

Nice small hotel right next to Duomo. If you pay extra you can select a view to Duomo from your room. We did not and I´m not sure is it a good idea because there is restaurants right downstairs at the plaza so if there is no triple windows it can be noisy. The room was spacious and clean, AC somewhat noisy and weak. Minibar was very reasonably priced and the staff (when there was somebody) was really friendly and helpful. The closest car parkings are few hundred meters away.

This small B&B has an excellent location. The rooms are simple but clean. However, I went in July, and it was 85 degrees outside, and the air conditioner in our room did NOT work. I complained via WhatsApp (there's no one there during the day except the cleaner who doesn't speak English), and although the hotel read my message, they NEVER responded. I've never been so infuriated by a total lack of customer service in my life. Additionally, the breakfast they provide is no more than grocery store cornetto (akin to Little Debbie) when there are pasticceria on every corner and several within a few feet of this place. We booked elsewhere after the first night. I've requested a refund of the following stay since the heat was unbearable in our room (no way to open the window as this place is directly over a bar that is open late and both loud and bright). Worst hotel ever.

From the moment we arrived we were made very welcome. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. Ours did have steps but not all of the room had step access. Breakfast was lovely - fresh fruits, cheese & ham as well as freshly scrambled eggs and delicious bacon. The coffee was superb. Located right next to the Duomo gave us quick access to all the sights.

Our stay was wonderful, the rooms are well done and comfortable. The location is amazing looking out on the Duomo. The staff are wonderful and were so kind in returning my laptop to me after I left it in the room accidentally. Would recommend.

The hotel is located right next to the Duomo, so you can’t ask for a better location. Carrying some heavy bags we were very pleased to see that it had an elevator! The staff are attentive, helpful and friendly. The room was large and quiet - noise from the piazza wasn’t a problem. Guests have access to a computer and workstation and the complimentary breakfast was tasty - fruit, bread, cereal, pastries, bacon, eggs etc. we would definitely stay again.
