We stayed for two nights with our two kids (8 & 14)....it is a 5 minute walk from the train station...in the heart of Florence, and you can see the Duomo if you poke your head out the window. The room had bunks for the boys, and we were on the top floor...a bit noisy with traffic etc as it...

We spent a week at Hotel Perseo at the end of February -- a great time to be in Florence before the city becomes completely overwhelmed. The hotel is located on the third and fourth floors (what most English speakers would consider the fourth and fifth floors) of a sort of standard-issue historical Florence building on a major commercial street...

The hotel was nicely remodeled and very modern. We had a corner room which was very big, clean, and fully remodeled. The location was excellent, just 2-3 blocks from the Duomo. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was included but we did not like it – nothing was fresh – canned fruit salad, and uninviting croissants. We recommend...

The Hotel Il Perseo was the perfect place for my mom and I to spend our 4 nights in Florence. The location is excellent. It's a short walk from the train station and just minutes from the Duomo. We were able to walk everywhere. The staff is wonderful! All are very friendly and helpful! The continental breakfast was very nice...

We are a family of 5 (three children). We stayed in the suite and had a wonderful time at the Perseo, as well as in Florence. The location, service, and rooms were impeccable. Excellent breakfast! The staff was friendly and helpful. Tani was great, We also tried a restaurant recommended by him - Reginnella - a delicious find!

This was our first visit to Florence and I chose the hotel based on reviews on TripAdvisor and my whole family was pleased with the choice. It really is located just between the train station and the Duomo and near everything you want to do while in this beautiful city. Everyone at the hotel was most helpful with anything we...

Really great hotel in the center of Florence. 5th floor loft has a great view of the Duomo. Staff is very helpful with excellent restaurant and leisure tips. Good continental breakfast included with terrific cappuccinoInt. Read prior tripadvisor reviews and I was not disappointed. Florence is very expensive, but Il Perseo is good value considering other comparable options.

Fantastic hotel in the center of Florence. The staff is very accomodating and will make reservations for the museums for you. Rooms are very spacious with tasteful, elegant decor. The bed was very comfortable and our view from the 5th floor was fantastic! Hotel Perseo serves a nice continental breakfast with espresso or fresh brewed coffee. This is the best...

My girlfriend and I booked this hotel on the basis of favourable Tripadvisor reviews and were not disappointed. The very reasonable hotel rate we selected included a free day trip to Sienna and the surrounding countryside, which helped push this hotel to the top of our shortlist. Pre-arrival communication from the Hotel was good, with the offer of advance museum...

We stayed for three nights upon arriving to Italy. They had one room ready and quickly prepped the second room for us even though we had arrived before check in. Clean and contemporary decor. The location is perfect. An easy walk, with luggage, from the train station. Even though the hotel is on a busy street the rooms are in...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
