Great location, very large room for Europe. You can walk to it from the main train station If you arrive or depart by train (10-13 minute walk). Walking distance to all the main historic sites. Decor is dated, but it is a 600 year old building so it is hard to complain about that. Terrace patio is wonderful.

We stayed at Hotel Tornabuoni at one of their suites for a recent trip to Florence. It couldn't be at a better location and while it was surrounded by high end shopping it managed to maintain the charm of the old world city while still having all the modern amenities. We found it to be a great hotel and the...

This is a charismatic, unique, local hotel. Nice amenities. Rooms are functional but comfortable: private bath, desk and table, tv. Common areas at every turn for lounging on couches, relaxing. Rooftop garden/bar is beautiful - sunset views & views of roofs of Firenze with wait service to bring you a drink. Breakfast buffet service pleasant and helpful. English spoken everywhere....

This is a real gem - yes, it is an old style property, but that is it's charm. The friendly and professional staff only add to the elegant nature of the hotel. We had a standard twin room which was a little on the small side but had a large, newly refurbished bathroom which was great. The decor is quirky,...

Fantastic location 4* hotel. Walking distance all main attractions . Nice old world feel with rooftop terrace. However breakfast terrible. Coffee tasted as if stewing for hours, buffet so so but crossaints & cakes all very dry. Omelette is special order (smallcard on breakfast table if you can find it) but not very appealing. The rooms are ok small and...

This is the fifth time that I have stayed in Beacci Tornabuoni. I find that the location of this hotel cannot be topped. Situated one block away from Ponte Trinita and a few minutes walk from the Duomo, it sits on the most fashionable Street in Florence, via Tornabuoni. The hotel is decorated with very traditional furnishings. That it's charm...

Dear Guest, we thank you for your incredible review, we really wish our Guests to share a truly Florentine experience and we wish they appreciate Museums, art, food etc The Palace where the Hotel is in reflects in terms of lay out and furnishings a typical Renaissance home. We are looking forward to welcoming your again.

The hotel is in a great location close to all the main sites in Florence. It is like staying in a stately home with a lovely common sitting room and roof terrace next to the bar. Rooms are fine but my single room would be a bit on the small side if you are tall. Breakfast is up to the...

Dear Guest, thank you for having decribed the Hoterl in this manner: this is the way we love to be identified. As you mentioned being a large Palace of the XV° rooms are different, we have huge ones with high cealing or small ones, but this is part of its original charm. Of course rooms are sold at different rates,...

Centrally located near Ponte Vecchio. The roof top terrace is beautiful with wonderful views of Florence. A great place to have drinks. Rooms are spacious. Pillows need replacing with something softer. We had trouble getting hot water but not sure if that was a temporary thing. The square outside can get noisy. Staff very helpful and breakfast room is spacious.

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
