We recently stayed at Nuova Italia after reading numerous reviews on TripAdvisor. After 4 nights there we have mixed feelings about the hotel. This was our 5th hotel in two weeks as we tour Italy so we had several to compare with. First, the good. The hotel is in the perfect location for Florence. We were within 5-10 minutes to...

This hotel is a 5 minute walk from the central train station. It is a great location from which to explore the treasures of Florence. Just around the corner of the hotel is the main central market, with the Duomo, the Academia, the Uffizi and the Ponte Vecchio, just a short walk away. The hotel is run by the Vitti...

The Hotel Nuova Italia is located in a very good location - two blocks from the train station and three blocks from the Duomo on a pedestrian street. The location is great for tourists, and the staff is all very nice, and very friendly and helpful. The room I was in (a single, or a junior double) was pretty cramped,...

If you go to Florence the physical location is perfect an the family treats you like a long lost relative. We just wish that we had stayed longer and the next time we go to Florence we will stay here longer.

This lovely hotel was recommended by friends who had stayed there 3 years ago. It is very conveniently located, within walking distance of the major sites and the Central Market. There are mercados very close by, along with internet cafes and many restaurants. The cafe next door makes lovely lunch specials and the wine is good and inexpensive! Our room...

I just got back from Italy trip with friends and for whatever reason (weather, people, attraction) Florence/Tuscany was our least favorite among all our stops, to our great surprise, especially everyone we know kept telling us how much they loved the area. This hotel was a decent stay, definitely wasn't part of the reason we weren't feeling Florence. It was...

My daughter and I stayed here for 4 nights and would definitely stay here again. The location close to the train/bus staions, historic center and around the corner from the San Lorenzo market was perfect. The staff was gracious and helpful, breakfast was very good, our room was large and the bathroom was fine. Nuova Italia does laundry-we had six...

This is a great place to stay. Close to everything. The staff was tremendously helpful with dinner and museum reservations. Rooms were very nice if basic but that was perfect for us. I would stay again or recommend to anyone.

I don't want to write a long & boring review, so I'll get right to the point. The location couldn't be any better if you are traveling by train and or plane. The hote is clean, the staff is nice and helpful, the breakfast is more than adequate. The complaint.....Traveling in August can be HOT, which it was. Everytime we...
