You would be hard pressed to find a better place to stay while in Florence. Location was excellent it being close to the major attractions in Florence. The room was very comfortable, spacious and well decorated. Breakfast was sumptuous too and you can expect quite a spread to welcome you in the morning at the common dining area. What however...

This was by far the best place overall that we stayed on our honeymoon last month. My husband and I loved our room, and enjoyed staying off the beaten path for a few nights. The place is beautiful, and it was so nice to come back to a quiet retreat after walking all day. The owners/managers were also very helpful...

What a wonderful hidden gem in the middle of Florence. We stayed for 3nts in Feb on a tour of Italy. We couldn't have picked better. The breakfast each morning was perfect local produce & lovely poached eggs. Coffee & tea on tap in the breakfast room 24/7 & a bottle of the local drink plus biscotti to nibble on...

My wife and I stayed four days while on our honeymoon in Florence. We both absolutely loved it and couldn't recommend it highly enough: the building and rooms are really beautiful and the location is great. And most of all, Michel and his wife were incredibly warm and helpful and made our stay one that we'll remember for a long...

We had a wonderful stay in 1865 with Michel, Cinzia and their family, and we would 100% recommend it. The whole property is simply stunning and perfectly located. Our room was perfect - spacious and very comfortable. The ceiling was out of this world! Breakfast was perfect - Michel's scrambled eggs are delicious! Refreshments were available throughout the day and...

We broke 2 nights from our Rome vacation to see how Florence had changed after 35yrs . 1865 stay was the best part of our Italian holiday . The room was spacious yet warm & elegantly decorated . The original high ceiling fresco reminds you of the glorious Renaissance times . Sleep was easy with night owl calling and the...

The level of service was beyond expectations and praise. We arrived extremely late due to unexpected circumstances and were treated like family when we arrived. Suggestions for sightseeing, eating and directions to both were excellent – again provided to us like we were old friends. The entire stay, too short, was full of charm and warmth due to our hosts....

If you don’t have noble Florentine relatives to invite you to stay at their palace, this will come close. Up a tiny elevator to one of the top floors of an imposing mansion, you enter a comfortably and tastefully decorated common area at which an elaborate breakfast is served each morning, and where liquid and solid treats are available throughout...

Situated in the heart of the city, just a short walk from all the main attractions, this place is the perfect base for exploring Florence. The hosts were very friendly and offered lots of expert local advice. The room itself was a piece of art, beautifully finished with a very ornate painting ceiling. Tea and coffee is self serve in...
