My two sisters and I stayed at this exquisite boutique-style hotel for two nights two weeks ago. The room was very large, with two single beds bonded together with an elaborate headboard. There were two comfortable chairs that each opened up into a single bed....More
This is a beautiful hotel with a terrific location. It has gotten VERY popular since the first time we stayed here and it was difficult to reserve/guarantee the particular room we wanted. The quality of the breakfast is outstanding. It is far superior to the...More
Excellent in all respects, full of individual art, very good breakfast choices of fresh fruit, meats , yogurt, cereal, muesli, yummy cakes, toasts and tomato. The bistro is really good for lunch and always has a daily special. Location perfect for all the sites
The hotel and its rooms have a delightful blend of old-world charm and modern amenities, including great modern art. The hotel's charms were matched by its terrific staff who were both happy and helpful.

San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on
Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.

During my many stays at the hotel I've seen someone at the front desk at all times, day & night, and they are right next to/have a clear line of sight to the entrance. Taxi fares from the airport to Florence are fixed rate, thinking it was around 22 euros plus 1 Euro for each bag. Might be a little extra for late night/holiday trips. Be sure to let the hotel know about your expected late arrival.

Sorry I missed this question. There is one but for our room there were still about 7 stairs up to our door so if stairs are a concern be sure to email the hotel to ask for a room that is accessible only by elevator. :)
