The room was only average - at best - with clear signs of wear and tear taking the gloss off what could have been a rustic simple lodging. We took advantage of booking on line where there was an implied promise of no more to pay and parking included. We were hit with "city taxes" at the end of our...

Location is excellent: within a short walking distance of Il Duomo and the Academia. Staff are ver welcoming. The hotel is difficult to reach by car, because it is in a maze of one-way and pedestrian streets just behind the train station, although once you reach the hotel the staff readily help you get your car into a near-by car-park...

I love Florence and everytime I come back I sleep in this hotel. The decoration is very simple, the rooms are pretty small but the food is ok and the location is perfect, in the heart of San Lorenzo. If you want a luxury hotel, im sorry but this isn't your hotel.

We spent 6 nights at Hotel Rex and had a lovely time. It is right in the heart of Florence about a two minute walk from the duomo, which was perfect for us as we did lots of sightseeing. Breakfast was fine and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Rooms were basic but always clean and we felt we...

So me and my friends came to Florence for one night and we chose Hotel Rex because of its location, but the "Hotel" could barely be called one! The staff was uninterested, the rooms we took (two of them) were outdated, didn't seem clean at all, the beds were not comfortable and one seemed to be almost broken, the bathrooms...

Perfect place, location perfect rooms. There wasn't anything else we would have expected and not received from our stay at this hotel with the free breakfast as an additive. All good rooms, beds, TV etc. with the only area of potential upgrade would be the bathrooms which held water both in the Tub and Basin. In all good place to...

Staff was very friendly and helpful. However, I was nervous about putting my luggage anywhere but off the ground. Bed sheets were not clean and walls had gaps in moulding. In the end, great location but didn't get great rest. Be ready for noise all night off the streets but that makes sense given lively nature of Florence and bars...

Everything what you need if you want to have a rest from walk. Here in front is Pub so if you are grumpy person better not stay here. In any case everything is old but clean. I've paid 60€ per night and check out is at 11. Excellent! And what is important it's in the center. You can walk everywhere...

We weren't expecting a lot when we booked this Florence hotel, which we chose for its reasonable price and excellent location. But we were charmed by the staff, who provided spot-on suggestions for lesser-known sites and activities. Room was comfortable and not as small as we were expecting. Bathroom was modern and everything worked fine. Included breakfast consisted of fruits,...
