The location is excellent and literally only 3 minutes walk from the Duomo. It's convenience and value has lifted the rating as the hotel has minimal facilities although what they had was more than satisfactory for a couple of nights. Highly recommended!!

So many things wrong with this hotel I don't know where to start. First of all, in today's modern age to have to pay for wifi on top of the price of the room is ridiculous. After spending all day traveling, we went up to our room in the afternoon to relax, we couldn't believe how much construction was going...

Rooms are clean and fairly comfortable. Breakfast is mediocre, so go elsewhere for something delicious. If your prime desire is to be close to the Duomo, restaurants and shopping, then this hotel is for you. Don't expect luxury, but who goes to Florence to spend much time in their hotel room?

We could step out of the hotel and see the Duomo!!! The rooms were clean and lovely. Fantastic breakfast!!! Great location as we could walk to everything, including the Ponte Vechio, Duomo and train station.

I don't think I've ever given a "5" rating to a hotel unless it's a totally posh hotel, so I guess this is a first. I don't typically "gush" about hotels. We have a group of 13, and the hotel we had originally planned to stay strangely "lost our reservation". Or whatever. That place will remain unnamed, but this hotel...

Great location but pretty funky as a hotel. The food provided for breakfast was marginal, rooms old and clean but not updated what so ever. Some of the front desk workers were very good but some were less than attentive

The location is good, but there is a lot that needs some attention. There were holes in my sheets. The bed is is like sleeping on the floor. It was a maze to find my room, I had to have a custodian show me the way. There are no signs directing you to where rooms are located. There are paper...

Great location in Florence. Close to city centre or a short walk to major points of interest. Quiet street. My room is street side level two and it's lovely. Clean, neat and has everything you need. Not spending much time in room anyway as we are out seeing the lovely town. Reception desk staff are great too.

This hotel is so incredibly close to the Duomo! Great location and very nice hotel. Staff was pleasant and helpful. The rooms were clean and nice, but small as one would expect in this location. I will look forward to staying here again. The breakfast was well done and there were plenty of seats even though there were several groups...

Room fitted with jacuzzi and very old style but extremely elegant room fitted with art deco bed and an amazing view of the Duomo! Great breakfast and the most important things is the very central location of the hotel, car park is payable with 25€ per day if you want to save money you better come by train and walk..

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
