We loved our stay at Hotel Rapallo, having booked direct for the best deal. A very welcoming team. The hotel was immaculate throughout and the bedroom a good size/comfortable. The free afternoon tea and cake was a very nice touch as we returned from busy days of sightseeing. Well located and good recommendations for restaurants provided. Thanks for everything. We would highly recommend.

We were originally booked to stay at Hotel Rapallo back in April but of course this didn’t happen, so with a little trepidation we decided to try again and have just returned from a 3 night stay in this wonderful city. I thought that the hotel deserved a mention as I hadn’t seen any new reviews since March. Hotel Rapallo is situated about a 15 minute walk from the main sights in a residential area. We booked a double room which was spacious and kept exceptionally clean throughout our stay. Hand sanitisers are placed throughout communal areas and you feel perfectly safe in these Covid times. Buffet breakfasts have been replaced with served breakfasts and include all the usual continental selections along with cooked options if required, you have to book a slot each morning.
We found staff to be friendly and helpful.
Only negative comment is that the hotel is situated on a main street so traffic noise could be a problem if your room is at the front.
Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The Hotel Rapallo is a small hotel about a 10 mins walk into the centre. You will be greeted by friendly staff who are really helpful, no matter what your query. The room was delightful, so clean, spacious and quiet. The air con was a little bit noisy but fortunately we didn't need it too much as we travelled in March.
Fresh towels and sheets every day and toiletries such as shower gel were provided. I cannot speak highly enough about the hotel everything was on point and it was a delightful stay. Breakfast was perfect, served to you by polite staff, again who couldn't do enough for you. A nice selection of food, everything fresh and spotlessly clean. If you do not want to go into the centre there are a few local restaurants that are very nice. Average price for us in restaurants was 80-90 Euro for a three course meal with wine. The hotel is perfectly placed near the train station, 10 mins to walk, where you can get a train to almost anywhere, we went to Sienna which was delightful, Pisa, which was nice but was as impressed as I thought I would be and Bologna which was lovely. Thank you to all of the staff at Hotel Rapallo days/evening/night they worked so hard to make our stay enjoyable.

Breakfast was amazing. Staff are some of the friendliest people I have ever met. I would suggest having irons in all rooms since it’s a little inconvenient to ask to borrow one when your on the go but staying in a foreign country/city you adapt. Balcony attached to the room was an added plus. We were able to have breakfast on the tables provided on the balcony with the fresh smells and beautiful weather outside. Very nice patio furniture. In all honesty it was a 100% stay.

Hotel Rapallo, Florence (March 18th - 22nd, 2023). The service was outstanding; every member of staff front of house, dining, kitchen and housekeeping were fantastic, polite, courteous and couldn't do enough for you. The manager is extremely knowledgeable about the city. We wished we had more time to speak with him; he (sorry I didn't get your name) has even written his own books (unfortunately only available in Italian).

The hotel itself is exceptionally well presented. Our room was immaculately clean and cleaned daily (thank you, housekeeping). The bed was comfortable, and the dressing area consisted of large wardrobes, with plenty of room for all your belongings; you will find the mini fridge and safe housed within one of the cabinets. The bathroom has a shower with a shower, which is very powerful, and the water is hot. There is also a hair dryer in the bathroom next to the mirrors (one shaving).

Great location: Roughly a 10 - 25 minute walk to most historical attractions, and the taxi rank is just 2 minutes from the hotel. However, the hotel will arrange a taxi for you if so required.

Overall the best hotel experience; highly recommended. Thank you all at Hotel Rapallo for making our stay so memorable.

We stayed here for 4 nights in July and we were really impressed. The greeting was wonderful, including a very refreshing iced cucumber and lemon water. Every member of staff we met was very polite and we had no problems speaking in English during our trip. The hotel is under a 10 minute walk to the main station (Firenze SMN) and a few minutes’ walk from main attractions like the market, Duomo and restaurants. Air conditioning was lovely and cool and not too noisy at night. Our room was compact(small room) but well kept, with a huge wardrobe. Fridge with plenty of space was very helpful, as were the toiletries provided in the bathroom. We had a good size walk in shower and the bathroom was kept spotless. I am coeliac and upon asking for gluten free food at breakfast with no prior notice, I was presented with a huge basket of individually wrapped bread, biscuits, cornflakes and melba toast. Each day the staff remembered I needed this, noted it on our breakfast booking and made sure I had plenty of food, even encouraging me to take some extra as snacks during the day. Staff were also happy to give us bottles of chilled water to take out with us too. On a day when we needed to leave early before breakfast started, two bags full of fresh fruit, pastries, juice, and jams were made available for us, including gluten free options for me. We were also able to check our bags after we checked out, so that we could enjoy our final day before travelling to the airport. One of the best hotel experiences we’ve had and we wouldn’t hesitate to return.

We absolutely loved this hotel - specifically the staff and service. They were beyond accommodating and friendly. They provided great dining recommendations when we asked (nearly every day). They even provided us with croissants and coffee at 4:00am because our flights out were so early, we'd be missing breakfast. They also helped us find a close clinic that takes walkups for Covid testing to get back into the States. The location I'd found was going to be a 25 min taxi ride - what they recommended was a 3 minute walk.

This location is quiet, the rooms are clean and just big enough, and the bathrooms are quite spacious. We would absolutely stay here again!

A lovely boutique hotel in a great location. Lorenzo, Conceierge was very accommodating and he recommended fantastic restaurants and was overall an outstanding host. The free breakfast was very good and the service was excellent. The rooms were small but very clean and the hotel also had a elevator so if you had more than a carryon you didn’t have to drag it up some stairs.

We stayed at Hotel Rapallo for four nights in late November 2023. A small, boutique hotel within walking distance of the city centre, but just about far away enough from the hustle and bustle. With that said, the main street outside the hotel (Via Santa Caterina D'Alessandria) is very busy - although traffic noise was not an issue from inside.

Staff were very friendly, and we were made to feel welcome throughout our stay. We checked in during the evening and had Fuoco Matto (Italian restaurant) recommended to us for dinner, as it was only a few minutes’ walking distance away. We’d highly recommend trying this for yourself!

Our room was relatively small, especially considering the price (although I appreciate that hotels in Florence are not cheap in general). Despite this, it was finished to a good standard with modern decor and most amenities you would expect to find.

One disappointment was that, upon booking, I had included a note to specify that we were staying with Hotel Rapallo (and visiting Florence) for my partner’s birthday. However, there was no acknowledgement of this whatsoever - either in advance of our arrival or during our stay. As such, the day before her birthday I sent an email enquiring about the possibility of a small gesture/card to be left in our room as a surprise, along with querying the cost. I was told that they could arrange a flower bouquet and card for €60, which seemed very expensive. As my partner does not particularly like flowers, I asked whether they could instead provide a slice of cake/candle or similar (as well as the price of this). Unfortunately, this email was completely ignored.

The breakfast was high quality with plenty of options. It needs to be booked the day before (there are half hour slots to choose from), as it can become very busy and when this was the case during our stay, the staff did a good job of handling the rush with some very demanding guests at times. The complimentary coffee and cake in mid-afternoon/early evening was greatly appreciated!

This hotel from the second we walked in had amazing service and staff. We loved meeting Lorenzo and were always able to get fresh bottles of water when needed. The hotel was extremely clean and well kept, the lobby often had fresh lemon water available, and the rooms were always cleaned very nicely. The hotel breakfast with the stay was very enjoyable. The location of this hotel we found was perfect! It is not too far from the train station and not too far from the hub of Florence (an easy, safe, simple 20min walk to the main sight seeing places) but still far enough out from the truly super busy streets. We enjoyed our stay here and would stay here again if we find ourselves in Florence!

Yes - you can take a train from Pisa Centrale (circa 1 hour) and Hotel Rapallo is around a 15 minute walk from Florence Santa Maria Novella train station. Hope this helps.

I am not sure if there is a room for any of your needs. So sorry, I am sure if you contacted this hotel, they would respond. My personal opinion is that this hotel may be difficult to maneuver. I think a larger chain type (there are many and they are still beautiful...) would be better equipped for you.
