Mr. Aldo is one of a kind profesional. Perfect last minute suggestions, recommendations and advices. Besides all the help on returning a rental car which store was closed when I came back and at the time of my departure. He knows everything and everyone in Florence. Super recommend the hotel by his support. Thank you!
Our family of four stayed here for one night and it was lovely. We had a family suite, with a queen and two twins in loft upstairs above. Beautiful view of the Arno river. I had read Lady Chatterly’s lover and apparently this hotel holds historical connection to that book. The roof top pool and restaurant was a great respite from the hot day we spent in Florence and aperitivo was a welcome treat. We wished we had more than one night here and would definitely recommend this hotel. Easy to walk to all the sites and very helpful and welcoming staff.
I cannot say enough great things about this hotel. My family (3 of us) had a 5-city tour of Europe and Florence was a 3-night visit. This was the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The décor is stunning, and rooms are super clean. We stayed in the Family suite which was two floors and was super spacious, with a small balcony overlooking the Arno River. The location is great…so many historic and great places are within walking distance. The Concierge, Aldo, was absolutely superb…he assisted with finding wonderful restaurants, as well as a perfect leather shop nearby. All the staff were super helpful and friendly, and went babove and beyond. The breakfasts were wonderful, and I highly suggest making sure to spend an evening watching the sun go down on the rooftop terrace. The city scenery is just breathtaking. I look forward to returning to Florence for a longer visit someday soon, and will choose no other hotel to stay!…
Excellent accommodations and staff. I really enjoyed my stay. The location, room, staff, and hotel service was top notch. The concierge was awesome, and recommended two great restaurants that were local Tuscan, and not a tourist spots. Room was spacious and quiet, air conditioning was perfect for the hot July days. A+ Highly Recommend
We cannot say enough about the Lucchesi and its staff. By far, this hotel is incredible. From the moment we checked in until the time we checked out, the staff was so attentive, courteous and professional. The hotel is so clean, classy and in a perfect spot. We must give a special thank you to Aldo, the hotel concierge. During our entire stay, Aldo treated us like family. Even though the hotel was busy with guests, he took the time and helped us tremendously with our travel plans. During our stay, there was a taxi strike in the city. The day we had to leave there was no transport to the train station. Aldo, on his day off, came back to the hotel to take our family (party of 5) to the train station with his own car and made sure we were there on time. We have traveled for many years and have never experienced such service and someone who truly cares. THANK YOU ALDO! We also want to thank Claudia at the front desk, Enrico and Sam at the bar, Gianni our waiter, Nicola (another driver), housekeeping for keeping our room so clean, and all the staff for such a memorable experience. We wish we had all of your names but will be back. Anyone reading this review should make this hotel the place to stay in Firenze. …
This is one of the finest places I have ever stayed. My reservation had been lost and they took excellent care of me and my family. We were put up one night in a villa and given a meal. Then when we came back they took excellent excellent care of us. I can’t speak enough of the staff, the care we were given, the luxury of the hotel. I will Definitely return.
Beautiful hotel located in Florence. Close enough to walk everywhere you want to go and just enough away to have a little quiet and enjoy the river. The staff are so friendly and accommodating, the rooms spacious and clean and the rooftop pool is an added bonus.
Our family (2 adults, 2 teens) had a great stay at the Hotel Lucchesi. We stayed in one of the duplex family suites which was nicely appointed and very spacious (especially by European standards). Even with the couch pulled out on the first floor there was plenty of room to walk around, a sitting area, large walk-in closet, huge bathroom with tub, and we had a nice small balcony overlooking the river (room 104 which I think is the only family suite with a balcony). The rooftop has gorgeous views and a nice pool - perfect for an evening cocktail or cool soak after a hot day. The hotel is a short walk from the main sights and nicely renovated. Breakfast room was lovely with a nice buffet. Would definitely recommend.
A really lovely hotel just on the fringes of the busy old town and right on the river. The road in front of the hotel is not busy (minimal traffic noise) and just a few minutes walk to the main tourists spots. Lovely large quiet lobby with a cute bar. The hotel was renovated maybe in the last 5-6 years and it has been done really well, mixing modern with old. Staff throughout were also very friendly and helpful, really very consistent, good vibe. Bedrooms quite pleasant, perhaps less obviously renovated than the public areas. Bed was very hard so asked for a mattress topper which helped a little. There are six deluxe rooms on the top floor on the front / river side that have balconies, they would be my pick. Also looked like a few rooms with balconies on the back of the hotel which would get the city view and sunset. I liked the toiletries in the bathroom - and they were in large dispensers too, better for the environment. Good towels and linens. Aircon worked great. Breakfast was pretty good, all of the usual buffet stuff available. I didn’t try the other restaurants but the menus seemed interesting, modern Italian / international. Main attraction for this hotel was the rooftop pool & bar area which is a great spot to hang out. A few notes (but not deal-breakers)… the pool is small, fairly shallow (below waist level) and cold (not heated) - but perfectly adequate for a cool dip. There are no sunbeds up there, just padded chairs and high stools - so not ideal for long periods. At times the music was played really loud during the day, just not very relaxing (they turned it down when I asked… but not much). At 7pm on Friday and Saturday the vibe changes from pool attire to evening attire… so you have to dress up if you want to stay for the sunset. Also attracted some large groups who were pretty boisterous (eg hen party) though not the hotel’s fault. Much quieter on other nights of the week, chilled. Bar prices higher than those in town but typical of a hotel bar… you’re paying for the view (which is great!) Bar staff all great. Overall a fantastic space to escape from the hustle and heat of the city. Only challenge I had was the elevators were out of order for much of my stay and I have mobility issues. Frustrating - but that’s life. Will definitely return to this hotel, it offers the best of both worlds for location; good rooftop; great staff.…
Beautiful hotel in a great location right on the Arno within walking distance of everything. The service was very good and the staff wonderful. The room was clean and everything in order. The pool and bar on the roof were great allowing us to cool off after walking the city. If there are complaints, I have 2. The eggs for breakfast are too runny and the roof bar should be open later than 10.
