I very much enjoyed our stay at Hotel Fiorita in Florence and would definitely stay there again. Everyone who worked there was charming and helpful. The managers speak good English. The staff and guests wore masks when not eating. There was ample tasty (fresh custard-filled and fruit-filled croissants and more) food at the continental breakfast. Due to the pandemic, the machines in the breakfast room were turned off a few hours earlier than expected and there was no upstairs dining with a view. Table placement allowed for social distancing. Sanitizer was readily available.

The location was very close to the train station without us being disturbed by railroad noises. It was also a fairly short walk to nice shops, fine and fast dining, the Duomo, the Franco Zeffirelli Foundation (museum), Ponte Vecchio, and the Uffizi Gallery.

My favorite parts were the hospitality, price, location, and that our room had a king-sized bed, mini fridge, desk, and private bathroom with shower. I felt safe in the neighborhood at night. We got a key to our room and to the building. There was also a room safe. They aired out the room and made the beds each day. I didn't want my towels replaced, so I don't know if they do that automatically. The room was clean, with no bugs, and the temperature was comfortable. The room was not the most modern and stylish, but it was comfortable and provided everything I needed.

The hotel was one of several in the same building; I think it was on an American fourth floor/Italian third floor. My least favorite part was the building's antique elevator that squeaks, allows only two people and two bags, and isn't available if someone neglects to close the door properly when exiting; my friend and I usually took the stairs.

As I said before. I would happily stay at Hotel Fiorita again.

What a charming hotel! We absolutely loved our stay here and wish we could have spent more time. Our room was very spacious, quiet and clean. Loved the high ceilings and air conditioning. The front desk was very friendly and they even helped with our luggage. The location was perfect- a block from the train station and within a 10min walk straight down to the main city center and duomo. The breakfast was exceptional with hot food items, lots of choices and the view from the breakfast room was lovely. What a nice way to start the day!

A/C didn’t function. Not sure why energy was wasted on having it installed and “run”. Luckily, the nights were cool and could leave windows open to a beautiful skyline. Beautiful wraparound balcony. Clean beds. Clean bathroom.
Hotel located on top/3rd floor. Elevator. Walkable to/from train station. On website, hot and cold drinks provided throughout the day for guests to help themselves. Nope. “Men gathered at night in entryway on bottom floor was a little unsettling.

Great location for train and walking the city. the staff was friendly and accommodating, stored our bags on our early arrival so we could go right out. bags were in our rooms when we came back. They held our bags after checkout for a later train. Good breakfast.

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights.
The towels were unwashed but everything else was fine.
When I left I forgot a T-shirt, no one from the staff called me to inform me, after I called them myself they told me that I have to send an e-mail, I sent it but since 1 week I haven't received any answer.
Very incorrect as these people do not answer if there is something wrong and I do not suggest it to other tourists.

I stayed 8 nights in Nov 2013 in Florence, all in Fiorita.

It is 3 mins away from Stazione SMN, practically across the street from it, very convenient. It also has a big supermarket 1 street away.

We were given a room with a queen and another single bed, the room is big enough to sleep 3. The room looks somewhat old, but well maintained and not an issue for us since we were barely in the room much. The showers temperature were consistent and toilet clean. Heater was working fine during winter. The room was basic overall but it gave us everything we needed.

The breakfast was 1 level above our room level and the view from the breakfast is just as those in the pictures - NICE! The breakfast variety was great, in fact the best since we stayed in B&Bs the rest of our trip. They made scrambled eggs and sausages everyday and you can expect at least 3 types of croissants, ham, cheese, bread and fruits. They also had different types of tea!

Most of the staff were very friendly; the only staff we couldn't get to smile and say buongiorno was the lady who cooked breakfast. She seemed to have difficulty looking at guests and smile. Well, I would cut her some slack since she had to wake up before 7am every morning to cook us breakfast haha.

Would consider returning to stay if we come back to Firenze. Oh did I mention that the wifi was fast?

Firstly I must say that if it wasn't for the absolutely terrible bed in our room this hotel would have rated very highly. The reception staff were fantastic, the breakfast good, the rooms were a very good size for Europe, everything was very clean and the close proximity to the train station was very good.
The thing that ruined our stay was just the bed. It was hard, lumpy and seemed to be on a lean. I am not usually one to complain and can usually sleep anywhere but for some reason that bed in our room was terrible. If we were staying more than one night I would have asked for a different room. In retrospect we should have told the lovely reception chap when we departed so that they could investigated the bed. I can't remember the room number but when you go through the glass doors and turn right I think it was the second room on the left from the end of the corridor. I'm sure it's an isolated incident as all of the review on here have been fantastic....maybe someone from the hotel could check?

Dear Guest, It is really a surprise to receive such a feedback, as, from the few details received, the room you stayed in it is a renovated one, with new mattres. We are really in a position in which we do not know what and how to reply; after your check out hundreds of guests passed in the same room you stayed in without claiming or reporting us something regarding the bed. It would have been useful if you reported this fact on spot to the clerk; launching an alarm , forgetting to report it on spot forgetting the room number, reporting it oncly weeks after check out it does not help anybody. Regards Massimo & Roberto

Great location near the train station. Short walk - just a block away. We arrived early, took our luggage & when we returned it had been placed in our room. Charming metal elevator, tall ceilings, double glass windows for added quietness. Breakfast was included in a rooftop location. Coffee & tea were available 24/7. Staff was very friendly. Free wifi was a bonus. Definitely would stay again.

Dear Guest, thank you for sharing your experience at the "Fiorita" with the TA community, remarking our central location, the cleanliness of our rooms, our plenty breakfast served in a terrace with view over the city and the friendly touch of all of our staff..... Our beautiful old-fashioned elevator with manual doors, widely discussed in the reviews, is part of the style and the story of the building, we couldn't imagine the "Fiorita" without it.... Thank you and see you again in Florence next time ! Roberto & Massimo
