The location was very close to the train station without us being disturbed by railroad noises. It was also a fairly short walk to nice shops, fine and fast dining, the Duomo, the Franco Zeffirelli Foundation (museum), Ponte Vecchio, and the Uffizi Gallery.
My favorite parts were the hospitality, price, location, and that our room had a king-sized bed, mini fridge, desk, and private bathroom with shower. I felt safe in the neighborhood at night. We got a key to our room and to the building. There was also a room safe. They aired out the room and made the beds each day. I didn't want my towels replaced, so I don't know if they do that automatically. The room was clean, with no bugs, and the temperature was comfortable. The room was not the most modern and stylish, but it was comfortable and provided everything I needed.
The hotel was one of several in the same building; I think it was on an American fourth floor/Italian third floor. My least favorite part was the building's antique elevator that squeaks, allows only two people and two bags, and isn't available if someone neglects to close the door properly when exiting; my friend and I usually took the stairs.
As I said before. I would happily stay at Hotel Fiorita again.
Hotel located on top/3rd floor. Elevator. Walkable to/from train station. On website, hot and cold drinks provided throughout the day for guests to help themselves. Nope. “Men gathered at night in entryway on bottom floor was a little unsettling.
Great location for train and walking the city. the staff was friendly and accommodating, stored our bags on our early arrival so we could go right out. bags were in our rooms when we came back. They held our bags after checkout for a later train. Good breakfast.
The towels were unwashed but everything else was fine.
When I left I forgot a T-shirt, no one from the staff called me to inform me, after I called them myself they told me that I have to send an e-mail, I sent it but since 1 week I haven't received any answer.
Very incorrect as these people do not answer if there is something wrong and I do not suggest it to other tourists.
It is 3 mins away from Stazione SMN, practically across the street from it, very convenient. It also has a big supermarket 1 street away.
We were given a room with a queen and another single bed, the room is big enough to sleep 3. The room looks somewhat old, but well maintained and not an issue for us since we were barely in the room much. The showers temperature were consistent and toilet clean. Heater was working fine during winter. The room was basic overall but it gave us everything we needed.
The breakfast was 1 level above our room level and the view from the breakfast is just as those in the pictures - NICE! The breakfast variety was great, in fact the best since we stayed in B&Bs the rest of our trip. They made scrambled eggs and sausages everyday and you can expect at least 3 types of croissants, ham, cheese, bread and fruits. They also had different types of tea!
Most of the staff were very friendly; the only staff we couldn't get to smile and say buongiorno was the lady who cooked breakfast. She seemed to have difficulty looking at guests and smile. Well, I would cut her some slack since she had to wake up before 7am every morning to cook us breakfast haha.
Would consider returning to stay if we come back to Firenze. Oh did I mention that the wifi was fast?
The thing that ruined our stay was just the bed. It was hard, lumpy and seemed to be on a lean. I am not usually one to complain and can usually sleep anywhere but for some reason that bed in our room was terrible. If we were staying more than one night I would have asked for a different room. In retrospect we should have told the lovely reception chap when we departed so that they could investigated the bed. I can't remember the room number but when you go through the glass doors and turn right I think it was the second room on the left from the end of the corridor. I'm sure it's an isolated incident as all of the review on here have been fantastic....maybe someone from the hotel could check?
wonderful little hotel.
minutes walk from train and bus stations and the centre of Florence.
pretty room very clean with great aircon
staff very very helpful and friendly.
Breakfast plentiful with lovely view!
And an added little bonus which we loved was the kitchen room where you could help yourself to hot and cold drinks and various fruit and cakes in the day. A very much appreciated little touch.
The lift is amazing just go and see................
