A really nice and charming hotel Even though the hotel and the extraordinary rooms are a bit dated, the rooms are super charming and very clean . The hotel staff is super nice. We had an amazing stay. The breakfast menu was good and the hotel offers parking facilities.

I have been to Florence before & stayed in a very updated hotel. Unfortunately on this occasion we traveled with family members and couldn’t go back to our previous hotel & therefore chose Hotel Principe. Dear god what a mistake! This hotel is so old & has not been updated at all. The stairs have slippery carpet, the rooms smell of dampness/ mold, breakfast was just basic. One cannot have bad coffee in Italy but this hotel managed to give very basic coffee. The bathrooms in both rooms were just dirty and old didn’t want to use them, shower curtains that looked & smelt yucky. The best part was parking. When the comments were brought up at reception the two men became aggressive & rude! Very embarrassing stay especially as we took family with us & paid 300 Euro’s + each room for one night when really any hotel would have been better. Price was too expensive for the basic 2 star hotel.

Grand building but very dated, dirty and tired. Muddy water from the taps. staff were pleasant and moved us to another room but this room was musty and again dilapidated and the air conditioning was broken and stuck on freezing, and smelt very bad. Breakfast was basic and the eggs served were grey. v overpriced. would not recommend. Could be amazing but needs serious investment.

It is as if time stopped 20-30 years ago. An old hotel with its own charm, friendly staff - a little odd, in a good way. Old form of breakfast like when you were a child visiting Italy, old furniture, polite and correct. Not very clean, no modern features - but non the less ok.

The staff at this hotel is wonderful and the rooms are quite large. We got a room overlooking the river, which was nice, however it was also overlooking the main road which was rather noisy . Closing the windows certainly reduce the noise but did not eliminate it entirely. The small parking lot around the back was certainly a plus.
