Hotel's Favourite
Stayed for one night. The tram stop is right outside the hotel and with 5 stops or 10 minutes you are right in the heart of Florence. The hotel has free parking which is a huge plus of coming by car like we did. There is an huge super market next door as well.
The hotel is older but clean. Bed is super firm but the tv must be less then 20 “ and has Italian channels only.
The staff were nice. The only disappointment is the breakfast . It was really below standard. Only got item we’re bacon and eggs from a carton. No vegetables and one fruit. I would consider this a free continental breakfast that they charge for. Next time I would not pay for the breakfast and eat out of town.

I booked the family connected rooms which are very convenient for a family with children. What I liked most is that the room size is very good in comparison to other hotels with family rooms. The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. The AC worked very well.
There is available free parking however the lots are limited.
The location is excellent if you want to use the public transportation, the station is just in front of the hotel, and there is a big supermarket just behind the hotel.
The only negative points were that the wifi was poor, and there was no refill for toiletries and tea and coffee.

We stayed at this hotel while travelling as a couple with our teenager daughter. We enjoyed the hotel as it was well located and had parking facilities. We had rented a car to visit villages in Tuscany and we also enjoyed the old city of Florence. The hotel has a private parking as well as parking facilities on the road in front of the hotel. The rooms are spacious (according to Europeean standards) and are very clean and well equipped. The only downside was the quality of the breakfast buffet which was not as per europeean standards. We ended ordering continental breakfasts by room service as the buffet was not attractive. The tram is a real plus for this hotel. For only €1.50 per person you are right in the city of Florence in less than 15 minutes. It’s easy to commute and right at the hotel doorstep. The staff have been helpful each time we needed info and they recommended some nice restaurant in the area.
I wouyld recommend this hotel to anyone travelling in Florence who wants to be assured to have peaceful nights, to have parking possibilities and last thing that comes to my mind is its easy access to the airport by the tram which is a few stops away. In some minutes you’re at the airport.

This hotel is just amazing. It looks nothing from the outside, rather dull and imposing with red brick. Step inside and the whole façade turns into elegance and beauty. Our room was 628 and it was gorgeous. Spacious, immaculate and had lots of other qualities, i.e. mini bar (payable on departure, quite expensive), beautiful shower and bath toiletries, large fluffy towels and a good sized TV. The King sized bed was comfortable with luxurious bedding. Good air con. The breakfast has a good selection and is situated on -1 floor. Masks are compulsory in all common areas in the hotel, including collecting your breakfast and such like. Only mask free whilst seated and eating.
Outside the hotel, 25 yards to the left, across a fairly busy road is the metro which takes you direct to Florence. Stay on the tram until the very last stop (this is announced), cross the road and your journey around Florence can begin.
We ate at various restaurants, cafes, wine bars and each one had it's own delights.
My favourite spots were View on Art Rooftop and Move on Italian pub & record store. Art rooftop is picturesque with stunning views of Duomo. Drinks are expensive but as a one off, worth it. Move on pub was a great location for sitting and watching the world go by. Great service in both.
We explored Florence by foot (average 30,000 steps) which is so easy to do as so much to see. We took the city tour bus too, fantastic way to get great photos. We visited the Pitti Palace and gardens. Make sure you get the correct ticket to see both. Walk the Ponte Vecchio bridge and revel in the splendour of the jewellery shops. Florence has so many sites and beautiful monuments, it is hard to mentioned them all. Good tip - flights from UK direct to Florence take forever. We flew Manchester to Pisa, took the airport shuttle to Pisa train station and travelled to Florence. We used the tram and got off right outside our hotel. Great adventure to add to an inspiring and breath-taking holiday x

Hotel in a strategic location, easily accessible by car, on the side of the centre next to the Stazione Leopolda and the Parco delle Cascine. The hotel has an underground parking (expensive) and is really 10 minutes walk from Ponte Vecchio and palazzo della Signoria. The rooms are spacious, large bathrooms, well furnished and really comfortable beds. A really good accommodation

Unfortunately we can't even leave the review for this hotel since we didn't have a chance to sleep in it!! After 12 hours of long trip, we came to the hotel and the least polite men in the reception noticed us that there isn't any room available even though we made reservation earlier, PAYED IN ADVANCE and got our confirmation. We were desperate and in shock, while men working on reception was extremly relaxed and he didn't care - he didn't even apologize. He claimed that they've tried to noticed us which is huge lie since they didn't even sent us an e-mail. He directed us the other hotel from the same chain.

The hotel is in front of a new built tram line, which connects you to downtown in less than 15 minutes. The rooms are exceptional, large, comfortable and clean, and the breakfast is excellent. It was the best hotel we stayed in our trip to Italy.

Nice, well-kept hotel in the Novoli area close to both the motorway and the airport and not too far from the centre. The rooms are furnished in a rather classic way but with new and quality furnishings. The bed is very comfortable and the bathroom very functional. When the hotel car park is full you can park in the car park of the courthouse which is just across the street. A good accommodation for a stay in Florence for business reasons

The rooms were spacious, clean and very quiet. Really good.
However services in the hotel were minimal.
Except for the breakfast service which was executed to perfection, the hotel did not have any hotel service you would expect for a 4 star hotel, and certainly not for a Starhotel. The receptionist was particularly unhelpful. Just as a few examples: impossible to drop off postcards with stamps to put in the mail... Everything was as in "Computer says no....". Also bar was closed at 10:00PM. We were at the bar like 10 minutes before closing time and it was closed already: receptionist refused to even look into a solution. "It is closed sir."
As frequent customer of Starhotels, this was really below standards and certainly below expectation.
Today (5 oct) we leave for another Starhotel (Saronno), and are sure we will be served in a much better way...

Been there two times in the last couple of months. Very conveniently located, it is directly accessible by tram nr. 2 both from the airport and from the main railway station. Hotel is standard but clean and modern, own parking, good Internet connection, pleasant buffet for breakfast and a nice bar / lounge at the entrance.

we are sorry to inform you that we don't have a shuttle to the airport. You will have to arrange a taxi with our reception. To arrive to the airport from our hotel takes about 10/15 minutes. Best regards.
