The location is convenient - few minutes walk from the Central Station. Near the Duomo. Lot of good restaurants nearby. The ambience is old style and colorful. Not for someone who expects white and pastels. The staff are very friendly and proactive. Our room was small but one could use the nice lounge for sitting around. Care has been taken to make it as comfortable as possible. The room has a charging port. Good toiletries and ample towels. The air conditioning was not sufficient, though, for the harsh summer. The breakfast has a good spread, with a lot of homemade cakes. There's an automatic pancake maker, too. They gave us a packed breakfast as we left at 6 am, which was considerate.
This hotel is perfectly situated near the SMN rail station and to other Firenze must sees and experience. Reception was warm and welcoming. We had a late dinner in the restaurant after a day long trip to Cinque Terre and the dinner was reasonably priced and enjoyable.
Stayed here for 4 nights in July. Staff very helpful but the room wasn't great. We were in room 9 on the ground floor and the a/c wasn't working very well so the room was quite warm. We had no wi-fi in the room for 3 nights but they fixed it and we had it on the last day. Breakfast is ok but gets very busy. The bar area is not too good and it could easily be improved to have a nice bar. There is a nice terrace area outside but not easy to get served. Good location.
We thought we’d splurge in a superior room and book this hotel instead of staying at a hostel. It was a last minute booking for two and we got room 406 for 350 €. Sure the location is great, moments to the train station, and the Central Market. We asked to check in early, before 2 pm. Hi hey said no but we could leave our suitcases. The room, being on the 4th floor gave us a partial view of the Duomo from the generous balcony. The rest was downhill. It’s was a sweltering 30C with the AC on. No respite from the 40C heat Italy has been dealing with. This in itself is a huge disappointment for a hotel on this class. The offer was a fan which did little good. Another room was not available. Worse than that, there was ONLY Hot water, LOL! So you were scalded as well! Two attempts and no solution. They offered us another room on the second day. At that point we just wanted to get to our next hotel for a comfortable shower. I sincerely hope both issues are dealt with before the next customers arrive. No to go coffee cups or electric kettle in the room. Couldn’t be bothered to complain…too exhausting. Breakfast was generous in the lower level of hotel is a proper dining room. No to go coffee cups…
The Hotel is in great location. Central, close to the station and amazing food places around; however, I was disappointed with the service received. For the price we paid - better service would have been received in other hotels. In the description it states that an iron is available, this is not true. You can get an iron on loan but I’m Sundays this is not available at all. We had to attend a wedding on Sunday and we’re unable to iron our clothes - one staff in particular at the reception was not help at all. He simply did not understand customet service. We stayed in level 1 and for 4 days kept getting told that the internet will get fixed. 4 days without WiFi and poor reception service so I couldn’t even use my own data. The air conditioner was not working in 40 degrees temperature. I kept asking for this to be fixed and an update when it will be fixed but nothing. Other staff members were lovely but it’s a shame that my stay in this hotel has left a bitter taste. Personally, for the same price you can get a better hotel with better service than here.…
10 of us arrived at the Hotel Albani Firenze on July 10, 2022 for a 4 day stay. We arrived by train. The location of the hotel was extremely close to the train station. It took us less than 5 minutes to get to the hotel. The people at reception were very welcoming and answered all of our questions. The lobby was spacious. This was perfect for us since we had some of our Italian relatives meet us at the hotel lobby. Our rooms were spotless! The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were a good size. The breakfast was wonderful and contained a variety of foods to make all ten of us happy (from yogurt, fresh fruit, pancakes to eggs, etc.) The cappuccinos were delicious. We loved everything about the Hotel Albani Firenze and will definitely return.
Easy walk from the train station. Convenient to all major sites. Good room and bathroom size. Able to keep family in rooms next to each other. Plenty of eateries around and shopping. Good breakfast. Would highly recommend this to hotel after being to Florence 3 other times and staying other places.
The staff was very helpful and helped is with our accommodations and check out. Very close to all sites in Florence. Very good restaurants. The room was nice, but did not like the bathtub only options. Bed was comfortable. More fluffier pillows would have been nice. Air conditioning worked well. The breakfast was really good.
Very nice staff, splendid room, with very nice beds, and bath. The hotel is located i a quiet spot in the center of town. Breakfast was perfect Parking is Possible just nearby. I highly recommend this hotel for everybody visiting Florence.
Super close to the train station - only a 5 minute walk or so! Also very conveniently located near the leather market, Il Duomo, and other Florence attractions! The staff were very attentive and kind. Room was on the smaller side.
