This is probably the best hotel that I have ever stayed in. The Service is excellent and you are treated like royalty. The rooms have all you need and especially the old part of the hotel has an atmosphere of the old Firenze that you just do not want to miss. I have stayed many times in the hotel and...

The hotel is near the center, you walk to go to everything. It is near the center of the city. There is a bus station really near the hotel! The stuff is very kind and speaks english! There is a garage for the car (they take it and when you need it they bring it to you back!). The breakfast...

Terrible and frustrating experience. I've never seen such a small room before. Had the feeling I was staying in a hostel. I tried to upgrade my room to a more decent one but it seems the hotel was all booked. I'm used to hotels that try to serve guests' requests with utmost priority. In one word: frustrating.I don't recommend and...

Dear Guest, I am perfectly aware that our room n. 114 (the classic single room you staied in on December 27th), is not a big room. It is a classic single room, with a twin bed, completely renovated in 2014. On every booking channel and our web site you can look at pictures of that room. For your stay, you...

Less than a 10 minute walk from the train station. Upon check out, concierge was extremely gracious and helpful. I checked my bags at the front while I went to go finish my sight seeing and my train did not leave until the evening. When I returned to pick up my checked luggage, he let me know that housekeeping had...

Hotel Executive would have to be top of the list for hotels we stayed in during our three week trip around Italy. I asked for one of the few terraces (I think there might only be two or three) when booking and was very happy they were able to accommodate our request. The minute you walk into the lobby you...

This hotel is conveniently located to the train station and to central Florence (it is on one side, but Florence is about a 30 minute walk from one side to the other). Hotel Executive is walkable from the Railroad Station and near many rental car offices. You can get to the Uffizi and Ponte Vecchio in about 20 minutes. There's a little market up the street and lots of restaurants. Very helpful staff, clean rooms. Good breakfast Overall, a good base from which to visit Firenze. P

Staying in Santa Maria Novella

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Maria Novella
Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.
