The location and charm of this hotel is a fantastic selling point! It was really precious in all aspects!! I tend to agree that the "man/owner" is not overly friendly ~ but, maybe that is my own expectation ~ but all our needs were met very efficiently! The property is lovely in all respects! Florence is fantastic! Location is perfection!...

It's situated perfectly along the river with everything nearby, the Uffizi, city central, and Pontes de Vecchio. Decor was dated but classy. Reminded if my favorite aunt's house growing up. The shower was small, but doable, unlike other European hotel bathrooms. Overall, we had an excellent stay and the breakfast was decent and views from the top room and terrace...

Our stay at this hotel can be described as absolutely perfect. From the very start everything ran smoothly.Booking a room was simple and efficient. The confirmation of my reservation was so detailed that Hotel Hermitage turned out to be the only hotel(we stayed in 4 cities) I didn't have to ask for more informative letters of confirmation meeting the requirements of the...

If you can afford it, stay here. Clean, tasteful, central. The only reason I paid so much to stay here was because that night I was celebrating, and it was worth it. The service is beyond fantastic, the breakfast is good, the rooms are beautiful. The hotel has its own line of toiletries that smells like fig. Hmmmmm. All was...

We so enjoyed our stay a few years ago that we stayed again! The rooftop deck is unbeatable for evening cocktails and exchanging information with fellow guests. . Our room was overlooking the Ponte Vecchio and was a decent size. The breakfast room is wonderful and the public room very comfortable. The hotel is within walking distance to everything in...

Good location, just next to Ponte Vecchio bridge, Uffizi and very walkable to the Duomo, Piazza Republica, Piazza Signora and the rest of the shopping belt. Accross the Ponte Vecchio bridge is the Pitti Palace too. There is a supermarket Sapori e Dintorni also across the bridge where mineral water can be bought at 0.40euro cents a bottle.( 1.5L) The...

Fabulous location. Great views from some rooms and from roof. Rooms small, but comfortable. Typical Italian. Bath was large. Had a tub/shower so water doesn't flood the bathroom. Breakfast average. Owner a little stuffy, but okay if you push. No computer access. Better make sure your I Phone works. Does have WiFi. Public room very comfortable and good place to...

We stayed here for three nights in late September. Every aspect of our stay was near perfect; our room overlooking the Arno, the formal breakfast, the staff and location. We look forward to our next stay there.

What a great little hotel. My wife and I booked in for two nights without being quite sure what we were getting, and we were very pleasantly surprised. A small doorway on a lane way just steps from the Ponte Vecchio and the Uffizi takes you into a charming if slightly quirky little world where you can squirrel away after...

We stayed in the Hermitage in October for three nights. The rooms was comforable overlooking the small square next to the hotel. It can be noisy from activity in the square. There was a function in the former church one evening. The bathroom was very nice with a jacuuzi tub. The hotel front desk staff was very accomodating. The breakfast...

Staying in Uffizi

Neighbourhood Profile
Uffizi
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.
