We chose this hotel on the strength of other reviews and were not disappointed. Situated on one of the main piazzas in Florence, an ideal position, being close to all of the major sights. Maybe a quirky place, as others have mentioned, you go through big double doors and into a shared building, there are over 100 stairs (or a...

Thankyou for your comment and your lavish description of Room 8 and the Loggia. We are so glad you appreciated what our Hotel had to offer. We send our heartfelt best regards and of course you would be very welcome back at the Palazzo Guadagni!

This is an old palace and the hotel is in part of it. Spacious rooms, but the bed was pretty poor – sagging in places. If they had a good bed, we would have given it a good rating. Continental breakfast was simple, but that is what a continental breakfast is, I suppose. Coffee was instant – disappointing in Italy!...

Hi! Thankyou for the comment, I’m sorry the bed wasn’t up to your standards, in humble honesty I have never had anyone complain about it. In our defence also, we don’t serve instant coffee. We serve espressos and cappuccinos from the bar machine and if this does not suit the customer, we use la Moka which is typically Italian and...

We stayed in a superior room with a beautiful ceiling, impressive furniture and balcony overlooking the piazza. The piazza was lively with a great atmosphere and lots of bars and restaurants. The hotel is in a great location and all of Florence's sights are easily accessible. Breakfast is good and the staff friendly and helpful. The layout is a little...

We’d like to thankyou for your kind comment, we’re so thrilled you enjoyed your stay and the location of the hotel. The palazzo itself is a historic building and the centre of Florence is so bustling and concentrated that every palazzo in Florence is used to its full potential! It’s more than anything an enriching of the Florentine experience and...

We loved the fact we could look out over the Piazzo Santo Spirito and see over the roof tops. Fantastic views of the Pitti Place and the Signoria. Quite, simple and extremely friendly hotel, that turned out to be more historic than we imagined (we found reference to it in our guide book!) The room was spacious and clean, with...

We just loved this hotel! Situated near the Pitti Palace, it was in the perfect postion for a stroll across the Pont Vecchio to the centre of Florence. Our room was stylish and spacious with vintage furniture, comfortable bed and spotless clean. The best part however, being the view. It was stunning! Out of a large window you could see...

Dear Moira, thankyou so much for your appraisal of our Hotel, much obliged! I sometimes feel like Helena Bonham Carter in E.M Foster's film adaptation of a Room with a View, the view over Florence really is mesmerizing. We all send our best regards Team Palazzo Guadagni

The Palazzo Guadagni is just like a jewel in the nile. My daughter and I stayed here for 6 nights in June. The Signore, Ferdinando and most of all Rita were the best hosts you could wish for. Nothing was a problem. Our room faced the side and was very large and considerably quite. The room was sparsely furnished with...

We stayed there for a weekend with our two daughters (aged 5 and 8). We had a family room, which actually consisted of two rooms and a bathroom (ideal!). Situated in a very hip piazza.great choices for food nearby. A very cool experience to ring the bell...a very large, ancient wooden door swings open, and you enter a 500 yr old interior stone courtyard. A tiny elevator whisks you up several flights to the smallish hotel, withba lovely terrace overlooking city. Rooms have high ceilings;a bit frayed, but clean and comfy furnishings....
