A mix of good and not-so-good. Neighborhood is great. Good restaurants (not the ones that will cost you a bodily part to have pasta and a glass of wine), nice piazza at the front. The building that houses the hotel is the old palazzo they talk about... but... when you access the building outside work hours, there is the distinctive... More

I absolutely loved it here. We stayed for 2 nights in one of the superior double rooms. Everything was exactly as advertised. Walking distance to all of the big sites in Florence, but also secluded enough so as to not feel like you're staying in a tourist trap. The building is wonderful. THE CEILINGS! Literally cannot say enough great things... More

Very spacious room on the top floor with a large bathroom - very quiet most of the time. Fab views of Florence from the hotel - it felt like I was part of history staying there. The staff are very friendly too and were quick to point me in the directions of good restaurants and places to go to help... More

A wonderful place to stay in Florence. Our room was spacious , the location was great and exiting and vibrant. It was close to everything. The staff was terrific. It was close to the train station. Only drawback was the cab driver on the way back to train station who changed the meter setting. Hotel had a difficult time arranging... More

My wife and I stayed for two days in this wonderful hotel on charming Piazza Santo Spirito. The interior of this hotel is just amazing, and we simply enjoyed every minute. The breakfast was really good with fruit salad, croissants, scrambled eggs etc. and good coffee. The balcony is a great place to relax and at the same time enjoy... More

very highly recommended hotel in Oltrarno, so somewhat less crowded but a short/gorgeous walk to the main bridges leading to the primary visitor destinations sits on Piazza Santo Spirito, which has its own considerable charm (farm market especially), and is close to both excellent restaurants and various attractions on the Oltrarno side of the river the hotel has excellent staff... Although our room was at the top of some tight stairs, the climb was rewarded by a fabulous view over Florence. The staff were helpful and friendly and the room spotless. It is a little expensive for a three star hotel but then most hotels are pricy in Florence.

We just spent a month in Italy and this was our only disappointing experience. The location is great but very noisy - loud bars on the square until the early hours and then a daily market which sets up between 6-7am. The room was very large, but pretty shabby - broken furniture, fixtures coming off the walls, a very uncomfortable... More

We spent the weekend at this charming hotel. Olivia at the front desk was very nice and helpful. Our room was huge and had a beautiful fresco painted on the ceiling. The bathroom was large and clean. Our room faced the piazza so it was a bit noisey at night, but well worth the trade off for how unique it... More

This would have to be one of the best places to stay in Florence. Great location with sensational views over Florence from our room. Downstairs on the square were plenty of great restaurants, markets during the day and lots of daily life just to watch. The balcony with wicker furniture overlooking the square was a great place to relax after... More
