We couldn't have wished for a better B&B than the Badia Fiorentina for our short stay in Florence. Centrally located and very clean. We were initially unsure about having a separate private shower and WC room across the landing from our bedroom, instead of an ensuite, but this was no problem at all. The proprietor (Bruno) was exceptionally friendly and...

The B&B was very well located in the heart of Florence, making it easy to pop in and out during the day. The rooms are small but quite adequate and as they do not face the road, they are fairly quiet. We chose airconditioned en-suite rooms with (tiny) bathrooms, again adequate and very clean. The host, Bruno, was very helpful,...

My B&B Criteria: 1. Price – around 125 Euro per night for Florence (double bed, in-room private bath) 2. Central Location – Quick and easy to WALK to everything 3. Clean Room – Doesn’t have to be fancy, just clean 4. Honest – No changing prices or bait-and-switch With that in mind, I have stayed at Badia Fiorentina twice now....

A Very friendly and comfortable B&B in the heart of Florence. An excellent place to base with a very local feel to it. We really enjoyed our stay here and our host was only too happy to help and advise us without being in any way intrusive.

My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights. We had a nice room, snug and comfortable, with an excellent location in the middle of old Firenze - decent private bathroom just across the hall and complementary cups and teas available, as well as use of the refrigerator in the hall. Thanks to Bruno and his daughter's gracious care we...

Very central, with an easy walk to the Duomo, Uffizi, Academia, and Boboli Gardens. There are some very good restaurants very close by to the B&B. The breakfast was fairly basic, but with some choice. The rooms were very quiet and spacious enough. Bruno, the owner was happy to make suggestions for food and he did not let us down....

My daughter and I stayed at Badia for 5 glorious days and loved every minute. The hospitality was warm and welcoming. Our room was spacious, extremely clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was always good, and a convenient way to start off our days. The location couldn't be better. Right in the heart of Florence city center. Easy walk to everything....

This bed and breakfast is in a great location between the Duomo and the Palazzo Vecchio. Our room was very clean, spacious and reasonably priced. It is in a busy neighbourhood but on a relatively quiet, car-free street. Its greatest asset is the welcoming, warm and hard-working Bruno. If you are looking for an honest, authentic place to lay your...

We spent 3 nights at Badia Guesthouse and had a wonderful experience. First of all, Bruno is the BEST host. He the epitome of an Italian host - friendly, overly accommodating, helpful, super nice, authentic and professional (in an Italian sort of way). If you're looking for an authentic stay in Florence, looking for good restaurant, etc recommendations and want...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
