A quality meal with stunning scenery of what I call the pyjama church. I had stuffed rabbit followed by park and cannelloni beans which WA fantastic. A great little stop over between Rome and Florence. The ride up from the freeway rovers great views overlooking greenery. Simply stunning

We booked this accommodation based on other reviews and are so pleased we did! Edo, Celia and Jennifer are a lovely family and make you very welcome in their home. As soon as we arrived, Edo showed us around the area, gave us a map with all the info we needed, sorted out our bus tickets (make sure you validate...

My husband and I had the most wonderful time in Florence celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary last July. (I tried to post a review at that time, but I see that it must not have posted correctly, so I am posting it for July 2016 instead) Edo was so helpful, and he gave us a tour around the neighborhood to...

We wanted to try an alternative type of lodging aside from a hotel so we gave renting a room in a wonderful neighborhood in Florence. We were guided every step of the way from the owner Eduardo and were met at the bus stop by his welcoming smile and charm. We instantly knew we were on good hands. Eduardo took...

Warmest, kind and happy people I have met! They are accommodating bnb owners as well as a beautiful family. Perfect for me as I wanted to get away from tourist areas and enjoy walking. Close distance to all sites as well as fiesole. Great food options around as well. Would definitely come back if I'm in Florence!

This is my second stay with Edo and Celia (and Jennifer). My teenagers were with me and enjoyed Edo's positive and engaging personality as well as all his efforts to make us all very comfortable. Sweets, wine (not for the kids!), extra bed, restaurant recommendations, etc. Brought up clothes racks so we could dry our laundry, made sure we were...

Holy Smokes, what a great place to stay. Perfect location, brand new re-modeled rooms, great host and even cute bunny's in the courtyard. The bus lines are literally right out the front door and the restaurant across the street was fantastic.

Leading up to and upon arrival our hosts, (and in particular Edoardo) were fabulous and very hospitable and helpful. Edo called me beforehand when we did not arrive on time to make sure all was well (I told him our delay was due to the rental car). He was also helpful with parking even when we did not communicate we...

For us, staying at Il Giglio d'Oro was like visiting an Italian cousin and his family. Upon arrival, Edo's warm and boisterous greeting made us feel that he had been looking forward to our visit as much as we had. As with everyone else who wrote reviews, Edo took us around the neighbourhood, introduced us to shopkeepers, baristas and restaurant...

A very good place to stay just slightly out of the centre of Florence but on the bus lines to the centre and main train station. Owner/operator, Edo, is a dynamo of enthusiasm and knowledge to help his guests better enjoy Florence. Rooms are large, warm and comfortable. Best Osteria, Pizzeria and Seafood Restaurant, all three across the street, with...
